Guest can explore Grand Island or take a sunset cruise out of Munising Bay, 5 miles west of the cabin.

Our cottage is across the street from the South shore of Munising Bay, next door to Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore with Lake Superior kayaking, biking, hiking, ORV and snowmobile trails, and multiple waterfalls nearby. For hikers, the North Country Trail passes by the font door. A public fishing pier is across the street at the mouth of the Anna River. Close to restaurants, the beach, and fishing. Great base camp for Ice fishing on Lake Superior right across the street. Sorry no pets!

Our Cabin is 8'x16' complete with everything you might need, outside hot shower, propane grill with side burner, propane two burner camp stove, dishes, pots/pans, coffee percolator, solar lights and Full size six inch memory foam mattress. Clam Venture screen tent set up at cabin. NO ELECTRICITY, NO WIFI and limited cell service. Propane wall heater.

Empire Sleeping Cabin in Grand Marais, MI provides a cozy, restful & rustic experience for the glamper that enjoys a dry, warm and comfortable experience while surrounded by nature. Cabin has wall heater & a king size pillow top bed. "THE HEATED FULL BATHROOM & HALF BATH IS NOT IN THE CABIN" but is located just steps away from the cabin in the large pole barn, and is stocked with hand towels and toiletries to make your "GLAMPING" experience one to remember. Head the other direction and you are a short 15 min drive to Miners Castle/Miners Beach which can be a fantastic launching point to your UP adventure!

You will be steps away from gift shops, restaurants, bars, coffee shops and Bayshore Park! In the Summertime Bayshore Park has Farmers Markets on Mondays and live music on Tuesdays. The park is also where all of the 4th of July festivities take place, you can even watch the fireworks from the living room windows!

We also have a deck to enjoy the wildlife from. Hummingbirds, Blue Heron, geese, ducks, eagles, river otters and more have all been spotted from the front porch.
