Butre ist ein kleines Fischerdorf an einer waldgeschützten Bucht zwischen den Gemeinden Busua und Asemkow gelegen, ca. 20 km südwestlich von Takoradi, mit fast 400 Einwohnern der Ahanta Ethnie. Hoch über dem Dorf gibt die Ruine des Forts Batenstein Zeugnis von dem Beginn der Kolonialgeschichte im 17.Jahrh. Die Unterkunft ist ein kleines Apartment in dem früheren 'Boy's Cottage', das zu dem großen Haupthaus mit weitem Außengelände und Garten direkt am Meeresstrand gehört.

Our house is built of natural wood and raffia materials and equipped with solar electricity. It is a 1.5 hour drive from Takoradi. Located near Cape Three Points with its lighthouse and the last coastal forest of Ghana.

The house is designed & engineered by Tarra Dear architects from Belgium. We wanted to create a beautiful place, surrounded by greens, on a walking distance from the beach and aminities. The house is powered by solar energy and you can even drink from the filtered tapwater in the kitchen. Lately monkeys are also enjoying the lush green surrounding us.
