The cabin is completely self contained set in its own garden. There are great walks and drives nearby. Or just spend time, sitting on the deck gazing at the magical view.

This snug, grass-roofed eco-cabin offers panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean. Enjoy a warm Irish welcome, mountain walks on the Beara Way or snorkelling through nearby reefs. Sample local cheeses, lamb, fish and seafood or stoke up the wood-burning stove, have a glass of wine and and savour the peace and tranquillity! Word of warning: we are VERY remote, (1km off the road down a rough track). With almost no public transport, own transport (eg car) is highly recommended - see Getting Around!

We are surrounded by the most spectacular mountains on 3 sides and to the front it opens up to the beautiful Derriana lake. Delightful cosy cabin set at the base of Pine trees in the rear garden of our bed and breakfast property. 4 mins drive (15 mins walk) from Dzorgen Beara Buddhist and Meditation Centre and a 5 minute walk / clamber to the cliffs. Castletownbere Fishing town with pubs and restaurants is 8 mins drive one way and Allihies village with beach and pub grub 14 mins the other way. Fantastic area for walking and cycling. The cabin is self catering and a selection of evening meals are available.

We are situated on the Beara Peninsula, just up the road from Helen's Bar in Kilmackilogue. Our Shepherds Hut called The Bothy, overlooks the sea, and is three minutes walk to the beach.
