Retreat in Coed Y Brenin forest near Dolgellau

Tyn Y Benrhos is a stunning Welsh stone cottage situated in its own grounds, in Coed Y Brenin forest, near Dolgellau. You have access to the entire property, with enclosed garden for up to 2 dogs and 8 acres of fields, woodlands and a river to explore. Here you are perfectly located for an active holiday whether it be walking, running or cycling. If you just want to relax there is plenty of opportunity to do that too. We do not live on site but live about 20 mins away and are on hand if needed.

Hafod Y Llan Bach - a real escape to the country

Get away from the everyday with a break in the mountains of Wales. This private, detached barn conversion has it's own terrace, a wonderful open plan kitchen living room and a glamorous and romantic bedroom with an ensuite. Step outside and there are over 25 miles of forestry track starting from the front door and the 4.5 mile long Alwen Reservoir just 5 minutes walk away. Snowdonia National Park is only 10 minutes away and the beautiful Italian-style village of Portmeirion is close by. Enjoy stunning views from the balcony out towards Harlech castle and the mountains. A great base to explore North Wales.

Magic Mountain Cottage: family- & dog-friendly

There is nowhere quite as magical as this: an historic, creaky cottage, at the end of a farmers track below Cader Idris. It's a back-in-time experience, with wooden beams and antique furniture, owned by the same family for over 60 years. Please read all the details carefully before you book. It’s a 300 year old cottage on the side of a mountain, space, fresh air and tranquillity. It's comfortable but nothing fancy. No TV or wifi, but a woodburner, books and massive views behind the cottage.

This 18th century cottage, with mountain views, in a UNESCO World Heritage site is central to the whole of Eryri ( Snowdonia) with its breathtaking scenery. Close to the Llechwedd Zip World and also walkers paradise . A stroll from the cottage takes you into the Celtic rain forest and waterfalls, or a more energetic route up the Manod Mountains opposite to the lonely and beautiful Llyn Manod. Only a short drive to the foot of Snowdon or the beaches of Harlech, Borth y Gest and Black Rock

Cae Canol Bach provides a lovely romantic get away. Situated on the lower slopes of the Manod mountain you will be surrounded by spectacular views of the valleys flowing towards the sea. This cosy hideaway offers a galleried mezzanine bedroom above an open plan spacious living area with wood burning stove, kitchen and shower room. We allow up to 3 well behaved pets who are NOT tempted by sheep. A 4x4 is required between October and April and recommended between April and October.

The Welsh Coastal Path runs behind the garden. There's wifi and Sky TV. Cleaning, bed linen and towels are all part of the service; I just ask guests to enjoy the house with care.
