This recently renovated Welsh cottage with original features, modern appliances and cosy woodburner is situated above the village of Garndolbenmaen, near Porthmadog. This is a perfect, secluded, romantic retreat for two situated along a quiet lane with stunning panoramic westerly views over Cardigan Bay and the Llyn peninsula. The cottage is well-placed to explore Snowdon (30 minutes away), the Llyn peninsula (right in front of you) and the quiet coves and beaches of Anglesey (30 minutes away).

Walking from the door leads you to an old drovers track, or higher up through bilberry scrub to Cnicht, the Welsh Matterhorn, or along lanes and paths to secluded swimming spots in rivers and lakes.

Murmur y Coed translates simply to the murmur of trees and sits in a tranquil spot at the end of a private driveway, the closest property to the forest and beach. Llanddwyn Island and beach are one of Wales’ most popular and enchanting spots to visit. It's a lovely walk through the woods to Llanddwyn Beach, you may even see some of the famous red squirrels of Newborough Forest. We are dog friendly and have plenty of outdoor space along with direct access to the Wales Coastal Path.

The hut is situated in the historical village of Clynnogfawr, centrally located between Pwllheli and Caernarfon. The stunning beaches on the Llyn Peninsula is only 20 minutes drive away. Our 18th century cottage is nestled beneath low hills in Cwm Pennant, a quiet, beautiful valley in the heart of Eryri National Park. Sitting off the road, our only neighbours are sheep and cows - an ancient church across a river is the only building in sight. The cottage is as cosy and comfortable on the inside as it is historic and beautiful on the outside - perfect whatever the season.
