Garden Outlook. Double Room (Shared Bath).

A wee double room at the front of the house, facing south over the garden toward the hills. Part of a family home in the Cairngorms - warm, straightforward and completely at home in the glen. Double bed, blackout curtains, 43" TV with Netflix and BBC iPlayer, superfast WiFi. The room shares a modern shower-room across the hall with one other room - bath sheets and toiletries provided. Light continental breakfast included every morning. Guest kitchen and sun-room for all B&B guests.

King bed with single bed

Upstairs warm room with comfy kingsize bed, ensuite with shower. This room also has a single bed which can be made up if requested. Included is coffee, tea etc, & a porridge-pot/cereals/fruit/toast breakfast. The Bar & Restaurant in the hotel (different organisation) open Wed-Sun, meals best booked direct by phone, we can pass their number to you once you have made your Airbnb booking. For Mon-Tue evening meals we provide Oakhouse Foods Frozen complete meals.

Relaxing staying

We would like to provide our guests with comfortable, clean and warm accommodation for the night and in a morning hearty Scottish breakfast. We also make sure that all our guests have relaxing time in the evening in the Blue room by the fire or playing cards and enjoying single malt whiskey in our honesty bar. Kirkmichael is a quiet village surnamed by beautifully hills and mountains with many walks around and Lodge itself is full of character and history.

Schoolhouse Ballater is a refreshingly different place to stay. It's a beautifully renovated Victorian villa, on the edge of the much loved Scottish highland town of Ballater in the heart of Royal Deeside and the Cairngorm National Park. The area is peaceful, the house is calm and has deceptively simple decor with quality in every detail and natural wood throughout the building. There's a lovely productive garden full of birds, bees and places to relax.
