We had such a comfortable and peaceful night’s stay, it truly felt like a home away from home, plus we loved the wacky decor. The space was clean, cozy, and very thoughtfully put together, with all the little touches that make a big difference. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the quiet surroundings made it easy to relax and get a great night’s sleep. We really appreciated how welcoming and easy everything was from start to finish. Would definitely love to stay here again!

I was comfortable and felt safe in Ellen's house. Easy street parking. No outside noise nice and peaceful. Everything you need in an Airbnb. Excellent communication from Ellen she couldn't do enough. I'd book again for sure.

Peaceful quiet location. Near train station. Clean . Generally well equipped, although a few bits of cutlery and crockery missing but nothing major. Comfortable beds, pillows not to my personal preference as very hard, but overall an excellent stay and I would not hesitate to stay again and would recommend.

Absolutely fantastic host, very responsive to our messages and was very flexible to accommodate our very late check in. Very understanding as we booked under difficult circumstances. Lovely spacious house and in immaculate condition.

We enjoyed our stay in this property, it was decorated to a high standard and had a good amount of space for our needs. It had almost all the facilities we needed to celebrate Christmas (we needed to buy a few more trays for the oven but that was about it). One thing to be aware of that we missed when booking is that the bathroom is downstairs at the back of the house, behind the kitchen, which was a bit of a surprise as we didn't remember seeing that noted before booking, however didn't cause us too many issues during the visit. The only other thing to note is there were a few minor maintenance issues (missing/dead light bulbs for example) that should be fixed, however again this didn't cause any problems during the stay, just something that could be improved to fully bring out the potential of the space.

We had such a great stay! The location is perfect with a mall across the street and lots of restaurants and shops. The host was very responsive which was nice because we got in later at night. The place was extremely clean which is super nice when on the road! I would definitely recommend!

The apartments were as luxurious as described and very convenient for town, restaurants and to explore the countryside.

The apartment is very beautiful and comfortable and located on a quiet street just a short walk away from the city centre. We were made to feel very welcome (Lisa's partner met us at the apartment on arrival and provided us with bread, tea, coffee, milk and jam). The apartment is also perfect for longer stays (we stayed for over three weeks). Highly recommended!

Lovely cosy apartment within easy walking distance from the city but in a quiet neighbourhood. Stayed for a couple of nights while visiting the Uni and it was perfect for what we needed. Comfy beds, good showers and everything we needed in the kitchen. Would recommend and would stay again.

Jean is an amazing host and definitely goes above and beyond for what she does and provides in her accommodation. You just literally need to turn up with your clothes as everything you need is supplied within the apartment. From shaving accessories to biscuits and cakes. The accommodation is set in a lovely area of Sunderland very beautiful and peaceful we didn’t hear any road noise or any noise from the neighbours it was great. I can recommend the Rosedene pub it’s about a 10min walk there is also bar at the local cricket club which is open to the public was lucky enough to catch the ending of a game during our stay. We will definitely be back to see Jean very soon we didn’t want to leave.

I stayed in Gary's lovely flat for a week. I wanted to spend several days visiting the Auckland project, and use the buses to visit places of interest such a Durham and Stanhope and Barnards Castle. The location, in the main street, opposite the bus stop, suited me perfectly. It was a 10 minutes walk down to the Market Square and Auckland Palace, the Tower, the Park and museums and galleries, and 5 mins walk up the street to Morrisons. Gary and Fiona very kindly met me off the train and helped me with my luggage introduced me in person to the flat

Wonderful apartment in an excellent location! Nigel is an amazing host and takes great pride in his property. There is a small store just steps away and a nice pub that is a five minute walk. Easy drive into Durham City Center and all of the surrounding attractions. Do not hesitate to book this property, you will enjoy your stay!

You will not get a better place to stay! This place has it all- I didn’t want to leave as it’s so special. We only live about 4 miles away but will definitely book as we loved seaburn and roker. I have so many ideas for my home - inspired from this apartment Truly stunning 😍

Great flat and location! The local area was lovely, nice walks, pub opposite and shop next door. The flat was an ideal location for exploring neighbouring towns and walking areas. The flat was exactly as described on the listing and Chris’ communication throughout the stay was great

what a beautiful flat in a stunning location. Had everything we needed and more and the hosts John and Rachael where amazing.
