Hooksey - a hut above

Hooksey is set within the beautiful Eden Valley, away from the crowds but within easy reach of the delights of the Lakes or the Dales. This spacious accommodation includes one hut with kitchen, dining and lounge area with a smart TV & wood burning stove to cosy up in front of. A glass walkway leads to the second hut housing a double bedroom and gorgeous ensuite shower room. Outside, there is a garden area with countryside views, a wood fired hot tub and fire pit and convenient off-road parking.

By a unique wetland of raised peat bogs, marshes and ponds, A haven for a huge variety of bird life, shoreline waders to geese to owls and woodpeckers. Located amid Low Abbey's woodland, rich with narcissi and bluebells in the spring, adjacent to the old damson orchard, at the end of Hadrian's Wall. Our beautiful shepherd's hut sits in four acres of secluded woodland in rural Hexhamshire. Enjoy the peaceful solitude, with glimpsed views through the mature oaks onto the North Pennines. Surrounded by miles of footpaths, bridleways and moorland, there are walking, cycling and riding options in every direction. Nearby rural pubs offer delicious local ales and fantastic food. Or cook up something tasty over the firepit grill, then enjoy a drink on the raised deck in the evening sun.

It is an ideal tranquil retreat for one or two people wishing to stay in a peaceful setting surrounded by wildlife and wonderful views. The hut has king size bed, table and chairs, kitchen area, log burner and outside patio table and chairs, firepit, garden. Heated Shower room with wc and basin for your exclusive use 100m along the garden path.

Archie is a charming bespoke shepherd’s hut, set in its own garden space at the top of our shared garden area. Archie offers a nostalgic space for unwinding, there’s only Archie - no other pods or huts near you. Facing southwest there are lovely views. Archie has a double bed, en-suite shower room and toilet, kitchen area with hob,microwave, fridge, fold out dining table and underfloor heating to keep it cosy. Additionally outside there’s a kitchen area, bbq , firepit & seating.

Plenty of wildlife for nature lovers including a flock of friendly rare breed sheep, hens, rabbits, and owls.
