This snug, grass-roofed eco-cabin offers panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean. Enjoy a warm Irish welcome, mountain walks on the Beara Way or snorkelling through nearby reefs. Sample local cheeses, lamb, fish and seafood or stoke up the wood-burning stove, have a glass of wine and and savour the peace and tranquillity! Word of warning: we are VERY remote, (1km off the road down a rough track). With almost no public transport, own transport (eg car) is highly recommended - see Getting Around!

There is a spacious, fully equipped kitchen,with dishwasher, washing machine, fridge freezer,electric cooker with oven. Adjacent to the kitchen is a sunroom/dining room looking out to the mountain views all around. the bathroom is newly refurbished with a spacious shower, a toilet and wash hand basin. there are 2 bedrooms. one doube, one twin. With spectacular sea views and nestled under the Curra Mountain, Driftwood is a SEMI-detached, 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom house within 5 mins walk of Rossbeigh beach. Free car parking is available. Driftwood is located on the Wild Atlantic Way and on the Kerry Walkway. Killarney is 33kms and Dingle is 80 kms. We are 7 kms to the fabulous Dooks Golf Course. Policy: Only the number of persons booked as stated on the booking form are allowed to stay. There is also no smoking or pets allowed.

The Beara Bus....with Awesome Views

The Beara Bus is a unique living space situated on the coastline with stunning views across the Atlantic to the Sheeps Head and Mizen Head Peninsulas and Bere Island. The entrance to the harbour of Castletownbere ( Irelands second largest fishing port) can be seen with the daily coming and goings of the fishing fleet. In the waters below the Bus basking shark, minke whale and dolphins are frequent visitors. The sun rising up over Sheeps Head Peninsula can make for an unforgettable breakfast !

Cyclists will also be in their element with The Healy Pass a few kilometres away. Kenmare is half an hour away with wonderful shops and restaurants.
