Holmlea was built as a weaver’s cottage in the 1840s and was entirely renovated in 2023. We’re proud of how warm and calming the space now is. Our aim has been to provide a stylish, timeless 5* hotel environment in a small, self-contained cottage. One UK king bedroom plus a proper double sofabed downstairs. Just a minute’s walk from our bustling town centre, Holmlea offers a peaceful, cozy welcome to the magnificent southern uplands. Perfect for a romantic getaway, or just a restful stopover.

The romance, splendour and variety of landscapes to be found in Galloway lies at the door of The Old Servants’ Hall. For couples or individual explorers (and dog), this beautifully restored, cosy apartment is an ideal retreat for escaping the rat race. Stepford Station Cottage is the perfect cosy retreat for nature lovers. We welcome up to 2 well behaved dogs at no extra fee.
