Such a lovely place. The hosts thought of all the extra little details and communication was great. Welcome drink, bread, eggs and milk were a very nice extra touch. It’s actually even nicer than it looks in the pictures. Walkable pub/restaurant so no cooking was required but a well equipped kitchen if you do want to cook. A tablet that explained how everything operated as well as things to do in the local area. A quiet and relaxing place that I would definitely return to.

Loved it here, a real home from home for us and perfect for exploring both York and further north. We loved the fact it was homely and rural, and the hot tub was a real treat. The only tiny downside was the oven is old and took a while to cook on, but we ate out too so not a massive problem. Just what we were after, thank you!

The property is most definitely worth the money we had a lovely time in rose cottage it was comfortable clean and very easy to stay in our dogs loved it and so did we the hot tub and welcome hamper was lovely Tony was on hand through out the holiday thank you it was lovely we will be back if you will have us 🥰

We have just had a fantastic stay at The Lamp Post. We were absolutely blown away by the accommodation. Steve and Andrea have thought of absolutely everything. The whole place is luxury and pristine. The hot tub is so easy to use and definitely an extra added bonus to what is a beautiful place to stay. Thank you so much - we will definitely be returning!

My wife and I visited for the weekend, Gemma was on hand from the moment of booking to leaving, the cottage is beautiful and situated in a small village so very peaceful, Gemma and Andrew have gone above and beyond to make the cottage homely, very modern but also keeping the charm of the 17th century, every item of furnishings fits in beautifully and the extras in the kitchen and bathroom are a lovely, welcome touch, you feel far away from anywhere when either in the hot tub or sitting in the garden, we had a wonderful stay and wouldn't hesitate in highly recommending a stay here.

The cottage was lovely. Well equipped kitchen. Spacious and warm. The real selling point for us though were all of the activities available on site. More than we got value from to be honest and a future stay would be longer. Perfect escape opportunity for a group of families as you have your own space but also plenty of communal areas and lovely grounds. Also not far to Malton. Pretty town and well served by independent shops/cafes as well as supermarkets.

I think this is by far one of the very best Air B&B homes we have stayed in .. for many reasons .. it was peaceful, set in countryside and amongst the wildlife. It was beautifully dressed with every comfort we could need, it had interesting art and playful collectibles on the walls and surfaces .. but it wasn’t cluttered it was just alive and interactive .. we loved it! The hosts were so kind and thoughtful but not at all intrusive just there if needed. I think kindness is such a bonus in today’s world and the whole stay felt kind warm and restorative. The hot tub was all of the above and an added bonus. A perfect North Yorkshire stay!

Beautiful home, perfect for a girls weekend and a day out in York. £40 return in an Uber to York city centre which was ideal split between our group. The kitchen is very well equipped and there’s everything you could need. The hot tub was a perfect touch to chill out in on the evening. The living room is very cosy too with the log burner. Would recommend to anyone. Thank you for a lovely stay

We had a lovely short stay. The cottage is beautiful both inside and out. Great quality furnishings and toiletries. The kitchen literally had everything you could ever need. The breakfast hamper was a thoughtful and much appreciated addition, the homemade rocky road was delicious. Our dog felt at home straight away and enjoyed his walks around the lovely estate. Elley and her husband were the perfect hosts, available but gave us our privacy too. We look forward to visiting again soon.

I brought the break as a 70th birthday gift for my Mother and she thoughroly enjoyed the break, she said it was exactly as described and Liesa was friendly, welcoming and gave them recommendations for dinner. The property is in a great location to explore and managed to visit a few national trust venues, She loved the welcome bits when they arrived and overall had a brilliant stay. Thank you :)

Spotless residence, as described, quiet and relaxing, away from bustle of York but a short drive to all excursions. Clean, plenty of cutlery, cleaning products and hand washes. Lovely surprise to be welcomed by fresh scones, with clotted cream and jam.

It was a lovely welcoming home. Spotlessly clean. Lindsey let us know how to access the property prior to arrival. She was flexible with check out time for medical needs. We had everything we needed. The garden was perfect and secure for our 3 year old son and our little dog. It’s a great location for fraisthorpe beach, Bridlington and Filey. We’ve had a lovely family weekend and will definitely stay there again. Thank you Lindsey 😊

Amazing stay and a fantastic host! The place is spacious, clean and located in a truly idyllic location. I was there with my husband and 4 children and found it more than spacious enough for all of us. The garden is also beautiful :) Fantastic stay and we will definitely be back! Thank you, David!

Sunset Cottage is a lovely cottage with amazing views in a very peaceful location. It was spotlessly clean and everything you could need was there . Tony the owner was very friendly and helpful . Nice welcome pack as well . Loved hearing the owls and watching what looked like 2 young ones flying about early in the morning. Would definitely recommend and we will be going back as soon as we can . Thank you Tony for letting us stay .

We loved staying in Fran’s cottage. So cosy and had everything we needed for a few days away. We had easy (driving) access to York whilst being in a very quiet, beautiful village. The cottage was clean, and comfortable. Would recommend for anyone wanting a quiet get away.

Fantastic place to stay , Louise was welcoming and couldnt do enough for us. Nice location in the countryside and quiet.

This was a fantastic property and was crisp and clean. We were only in the area for a day and it more or less suited our needs. The check in was easy and Kate, from the shop, very pleasant. There was a nice breakfast basket waiting for us and it was lovely and warm. The 2 bedrooms and en suites are almost identical - I didn’t find the pillows very comfortable as they were a bit thin. It was disappointing there wasn’t a walk from the door where we could take the dogs as the main road was too busy. Some lovely walks nearby though so I wouldn’t entertain paying the £5 to hire a fenced field, that was offered.

Absolutely beautiful cottage .. everything it says as it is advertised.. beautiful location and not too far from Hornsea and the sea Will def boom again .. this will be our go too place when we come to Hornsea Thankyou so much Lucy

Guy’s cottage is a great location, as you do get the countryside feel but you are still a short drive away from York City Centre (especially to two of the park & rides) and retail parks. The cottage itself is well decorated with high standard appliances, with lots of personal touches such as farm eggs, and apple juice to mention! I would stay here again if I was to visit York, but would throughly recommend to others to stay.

Iris is one of the greatest hosts on AirBnb, very respectful and responsive! Would really recommend this place to anyone looking for a pleasant stay. Thank you!
