Pictures of the view from the main living room/dining room was what drew me to the property and the reality did not disappoint. The house was very homely, comfortable and Isabella was friendly and accommodating. I especially appreciated that there was plenty of comfortable seating for the number of people the house can accommodate to sleep. The dishwasher did not work during our visit which was an inconvenience as we were a large family group who cooked regularly during our visit, so clearing up took significantly more time than we would have liked, but once Isabella was made aware, she did not hesitate to get it seen to as soon as possible. Unfortunately it could not be repaired during our visit but I cannot fault Isabella's reponse to the situation, it was just unfortunate. I would definitely recommend the property; it is clear a lot of thought has gone into the property to make it as comfortable as possible for guest. Thank you.

John was a fantastic host, and we couldn’t have asked for a better location or property. The views were outstanding and we could have easily just gone for those but the house was plenty big enough for 8 adults and 3 children, they didn’t want to leave. It was very clean with clear instructions. We would highly recommend John and his property!

This was the most incredibly beautiful property in a stunning location. Pier Cottage is so private and peaceful with views over Loch Striven where you can sit and relax whilst watching the array of wildlife around you or take the kayak out on the loch. The cottage was extremely comfortable and well appointment with everything you would need for you stay. If you are looking for somewhere to unplug from the world and completely relax - this is the ideal place.

A perfect weekend break ! Despite the rain, it was wonderful. The location on the shore is idyllic and our retriever was never out of the sea - until the tide went out ! We saw seals a few times which was lovely. The bothy is really well equipped and has everything you need for cooking and staying warm. The solar inside lights were super efficient and lasted all evening and we cooked a whole (delicious) chicken, bought from the farm in the oven. Dave and Alison are wonderful hosts. The island cafe is the perfect refuge from the rain for soup, hot sandwiches and lovely cakes. As advised on the listing, if possible, take wellies. We would love to come back !

La caravane de Jackie est située dans le jardin de sa maison, face à la mer, dans l'adorable village d'Arisaig. C'est une super expérience de passer quelques nuits dans cette mignonne caravane au grand lit confortable. 2 très bons restaurants juste à côté et un supermarché ouvert jusqu'à 21h. Nous avons dîner dans la caravane un soir qui est très bien équipée. La douche & les toilettes, très propres, sont situées dans un petit bâtiment juste à côté. Jackie nous attendait derrière sa fenêtre pour nous accueillir (à quelques minutes à pied de la gare ferroviaire d'Arisaig, trajet en train depuis Glasgow incroyabe ! Superbes vues, viaduc du Poudlard Express, etc.) et a été d'une grande aide au départ pour nous aider suite à l'annulation de notre ferry. Merci à elle ! Je recommande ce logement pour une expérience originale dans le joli village d'Arisaig, loin du tourisme de masse de Fort William & Mallaig.

Lovely apartment within walking distance of Dunoon town centre. Kitchen was exceptionally well equipped and even had a slow cooker and air fryer if you wanted to cook ( we didn’t). Always cosy

Our stay at the Cottage was everything we imagined it would be . Beautiful views of the Loch from the window and so peacful and tranquil. The log Burner was ideal for cosy nights in and the local shop was very convenient . Will be back again . Sarah

My wife and our 2 little boys stayed at Gemma’s place for 3 nights. Instructions were great, check-in was easy, the place was spotless and within 50m walk of the beach. Helpfully, all of the things that you need for a short stay but don’t wish to buy especially were also there (eg buckets and spades, dishwasher tablets, toilet rolls, olive oil, soap, tea coffee etc) a great stay - thank you!

Everything as described, a good host, Therese gave us information about local bakers and some eating establishments which were excellent. We would certainly go again, the weather was in our favour, which was another bonus

We enjoy this cottage so much that this is the 3rd time we have been. The perfect place to relax.

Caravan was beautiful inside & out it was. spotless , it had everything you need & more and the small personal touches such a the welcome food items , toiletries , cleaning products the caravan had everything you could possibly want or need .

Die Unterkunft ist wirklich genial und hält was sie verspricht! Die komplette Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit, sowie die wunderschöne Natur der Insel machten diesen Aufenthalt zu einem tollen Erlebnis! Das Haus ist mit einer großen Küche und Wohnzimmer ausgestattet, und es fehlt an nichts. Clare und Mike sind hervorragende Gastgeber und ich habe mich von der ersten Sekunde gut aufgenommen und wohlgefühlt. ich kann jedem der Lismore besuchen will, es nur wärmstens ans Herz zu legen hier vorbeizukommen!!!

Wow, what an amazing place! The location and views are absolutely stunning and the house is so comfortable and well equipped. Lismore is such a tranquil and beautiful place. Derek is a great host, very responsive and helpful. We can honestly say we have never felt so chilled and at home at any property we have rented. This was a last minute find but was genuinely worth it. Clear and concise directions to get to property and once there no need to get in your car again. Alasdair was very quick with answering queries about how to more than anything. Local shops and restaurants are on your doorstep so if you forget anything pop to local Co-op an approximate 10 minute walk. The beach is so sandy (yes that's a funny thing to say but important in the UK) - nice and clean and the locals are genuinely happy and engaging, must be something in the water as the locals all meet early morning for a swim. The house is great. Good size kitchen and living room, and the bedrooms were big. Bathrooms clean and well stocked with shower gel and shampoo and importantly toilet paper. Lounge has a log burner which is easy to use and a tv with good reception. A great experience to be re-enjoyed

Had a fabulous time at Port Na Ba! Amazing location viewing otters, dolphins, hares, sheep & lambs, & Northern Lights straight from the window. Could not be in a more perfect location for nature lovers. Very secluded location and a little distance away from the nearest shop but perfect if you prefer to be away from any hustle & bustle.

I booked Lisa & Kenneth’s yurt as accommodation for my wedding Photographer Kevin, so in full disclosure I didn’t stay there myself. But the communication and information I received from Lisa & Kenneth was great. Kenneth even went above & beyond, staying up late to welcome Kevin and show him around, after Kevin took a detour past Shieldaig up to Ullapool and back, after picking up two lederhosen clad German hitchhiking Carpenters! 🙈🤣 Kevin did say that he loved the yurt, that he’d definitely stay there again and he throughly recommended that my wife & I stay there the next time we’re heading up to the area.

What a lovely place! Surrounded by nature, it was the perfect spot to unwind and disconnect. The views from every window were stunning, and the peaceful setting made it easy to relax. The property itself was spotless, well-equipped, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Sarah was kind and responsive, making the whole experience smooth and welcoming. She went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and her warm hospitality really stood out. We’d love to return.

A brilliant spot outside of Fort William, easy to find and a stunning view of the lock and local mountains. Great shower, always warm, everything we needed for a few nights stay. Would definitely recommend!

We had an amazing stay at Ann’s pod. It is in a great location with everything you need for a comfortable stay. We stayed for 3 nights, one night we walked into Mallaig for dinner and the other two we used the facilities in the pod to cook including the barbecue on the balcony. The view from the balcony is amazing and the hot tub is great to relax in. The pod is well located and is in walkable distance to a lovely beach. Would highly recommend a stay here.
