Eco self contained cottage in a garden.

This mini 1 bedroom house was our trial run in building our main home using passive house principles. We are approx 1 km from the centre of Westbury in a rural location. (You may be lucky enough to sight some of our local wildlife during your stay! ) The cottage is suitable for a couple, however the extra single bed does enable some flexibility for guests.(i.e. if you wish to use both beds, please book for 3 people.) We provide a library of information about sustainability for guest perusal.

Stroll to Launceston’s best eats and the stunning Cataract Gorge or simply relax in the park just across the road. Please note: stairs access. No smoking or extra guests.

The Coach House at The White House, Westbury

The Coach House at the White House, Westbury is a large, comfortable house within an historic complex opposite the Village Green in the beautiful historic village of Westbury. There are three bedrooms, sleeping 6 people. It is ideal for families but would also suit 2 couples. There is a spacious fully equipped kitchen, two lounge areas, modern bathroom with to hand basins, bath, shower and toilet. There is also access to a shared laundry with second toilet and shared table tennis room.

Shanigans studio

Unwind in style at our studio retreat on the banks of the Liffey River, about 15 mins from Launceston & Launceston airport. Our charming 1-bedroom haven features a queen bed, ensuite, TV, fridge, microwave, toaster and tea/coffee amenities. Take advantage of the shared entertainment facilities, including a games room with a pool table, gym equipment & a washing machine. Linen provided. (Similar size to a standard motel room) Portacot available on request. Not suitable for pets

The Lane Apartment - 2 BR in Trevallyn

Bright and airy self-contained downstairs apartment, with views out over the the Tamar River and beyond. Perfect for couples or single travellers, for holidays, weekend travel or business accommodation. Less than 5 mins drive from the city centre. Take a lovely gentle walk along the waterside path to the Cataract Gorge (20 min), the city (2 km), or to nearby tailrace park (5 min). Two double beds: one in living space and one in a room adjoining the kitchen ( see plan in photos).

To get to the CBD all you need is two feet and a heartbeat, taking a 1.5 km downhill route through parks and the famous Charles Street strip evoking our little bit of Melbourne’s Lygon Street.

Each studio has an individual personality inspired by the qualities of its site and a desire to create a sustainable buildings with the lowest possible carbon footprint and environmental impact. This accomodation will appeal to those with a design interest in architecture.

Located close to the CBD, the studio is suitable for couples or single travellers, and is ideal accommodation whether visiting for business or leisure. It’s a great base from which to explore Launceston and it’s surrounds. The studio has a compact, well equipped kitchen. Stylish Scandinavian furniture provides comfort when it’s time to relax. Milk, bread and jam provided for breakfast.

"The Crib" is a stand alone unit in a quiet cul-de-sac in Riverside, it shares a 1400 sq mt internal block with the main house. It has great views overlooking the Tamar River and Launceston. "The Crib" is a quiet, sunny relaxing self contained unit tastefully decorated with a modern kitchen consisting of good quality appliances, linens, comfy furnishings and smart t.v. Ideal for a single or a couple.

Step inside this historic converted stable, now a charming mudbrick loft and feel the embrace of rustic Tasmanian country life. Surrounded by lush gardens, serenaded by birdsong and visited by wallabies at dusk and dawn, this is a place where time slows down.
