We chose this place because it was close by and it is Winter. We had a big snow storm the day of our arrival. Fortunately we only had a 20 min drive and yet it felt like we were in the woods. Robert greeted us and showed us around his lovely home. It was a place where the whole family could spend Christmas Eve and Christmas Day together. All eight of us declared it was the best family Christmas we had in a long time. The beauty could be seen from every window. We were provided with everything we needed to have meals together and to play games and the young adults loved the hot tub. Robert had a beautiful Christmas tree set up and there was lots of little cozy spots to have one on one chats with each other. We realized after meeting Robert that he would be so cool to hang out with but he had other family plans. We are seriously considering making it a new Christmas Tradition.

We were celebrating a 50th birthday with a spa day nearby. The 4 bedrooms was a dream! The house had all we needed and then some. The host was amazing from beginning to end. Responsive. Proactive. Friendly. We spent 2 stormy nights and we're cozy the whole time. Thanks for the great weekend.

Sherry's place is a dream! Cozy, charming, and very private, tucked away in the sweetest little spot on the river. The unit is as described and Sherry provides very helpful instructions, including on using the wood stove (absolutely a must do, it is so charming) and the firepit. Close enough to many sweet towns and beaches, while still not unreasonably far from bigger cities, including Halifax proper. We stayed here as two friends reconnecting, but it would also be absolutely perfect for a couples retreat. We'll be back! Highly recommend.

Our family had a fantastic Christmas at Deanna’s. It looks exactly as advertised, and is just really comfortable. Deanna was very helpful and timely in responding to questions, prior to, and during our stay. She was very flexible and accommodating to meet our timing needs. Awesome location and view. The accommodation is great, well taken care of and great for a family stay. Will definitely stay here again if back in the area.

Went to spend my 60th birthday with dear friends and we had a wonderful time! Great location near of my favorite places but yet still remote! Hope to be back soon!

Beautiful view! Many cozy blankets throughout home which was a lovely touch as we visited in early spring and it was still quite chilly outside. Very spacious and well equipped kitchen. Beds were quite comfortable and we really enjoyed the sound of the in ceiling Bluetooth speakers.

We had a fantastic weekend staying at Karen and Dan’s! This is the second time that we go as a group of friends to unwind and have a relaxing weekend together at their place. We loved having a campfire by the water and getting to use the hot tub. We look forward to being there again!

Very nice, very clean, good amount of amenities. LOUD frogs at night lol.. But I didn’t mind, couldn’t hear them inside. Beds could be softer. Overall if you want a nice stay away from the city this is a good one, especially if you have 4-8 people with you! Very loft living experience.

This little spot so cute! Tracy & Dave have made the most of every square inch of this suite. So many lovely touches, a thorough guide book on the counter & everything you could think of to be comfortable. We requested help with luggage up the stairs & they were so accommodating. The top floor suite has a view of the water & the back yard but it is at the very top! Mahone Bay has great restaurants and coffee places, everything is nearby to Tracy’s place. The people , though, make it extra special. We were welcomed everywhere. Thank you, Tracy & Dave!

Our stay at this Airbnb was absolutely wonderful! The views were stunning, and we especially loved relaxing by the fire pit. Matthew and Susan were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond, offering to drive us to Peggy’s Cove when they noticed we hadn’t rented a car. Their kindness made our trip even more special. A superb experience from start to finish, we will definitely be visiting again!

My boyfriend and I had a great stay here. Cozy and private unit that’s just steps away from beautiful walking trails. Would recommend to anyone visiting the South Shore!

My sons and I travelled to Halifax for a night. Easy to find, very cozy and clean. We all loved the hot tub. Byron was very friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay there again :)

This was the most amazing place. We spent a week here and Everything you needed or wanted was right in this place. The surroundings were peaceful, very inviting. Gillian checked in with us halfway through our stay to see if we needed anything. The beds were very comfy. The firepit is beautiful there was a fully stacked wood pile to use for the fire. There were lots of chairs all around to sit outside or out by the the dock. We would stay again in a heartbeat. Thank you Gillian and Scott for your hospitality.

A great place to relax and unwind. Hot tub was perfect and super clean. Host was very attentive.

The perfect getaway for our 28th wedding anniversary. Two separate outdoor patios with beautiful views to choose from while enjoying a glass of wine. All the amenities of home. Can’t wait to book again when we can swim and canoe.

My husband and I enjoyed our anniversary stay at Watervale Springs Retreat. The atmosphere was peaceful and cozy, and the accommodation provided everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing getaway. We especially appreciated the thoughtful touches, such as the selection of board games, the visitors’ book, and the personalized note and treats from our host. It all made our stay feel extra special. We will definitely be returning!

An amazing and peaceful escape to the woods. The cabin is perfect with a beautiful deck and view. Has just the right amount of comfort while allowing you to enjoy nature. Tina and Graham are fantastic hosts, kind people, and take pride in their perfect cabin in the woods. Our dog was welcome and comfortable with lots of space to explore, they even loaned us their visibility vests and a dog bed! We will definitely be coming back.

Another successful stay at Keith's place. we were visiting family for Thanksgiving and Keith was very accommodating and provided heaters for the chilly weekend weather. Always great to stay at this spot!

I stayed for one night by myself and felt very comfortable. From dealing with Kennedy and the cabin itself, is was all a wonderful experience and I will definitely be coming back!

We absolutely loved our stay over Easter weekend! Scott was very friendly and easy to connect with! It was a weekend of relaxation and connecting with nature! The hot tub was a great addition. Also the gorgeous wood work!! Also the sunrises from the loft were incredible!! We will definitely be coming back!

We have stayed at this cottage 3 times and the little one next door a few times as well over the years. Love the location and Jill is excellent to deal with. Her properties are all well decorated, clean, just such beautiful spaces and we love the cold cans of sparking wine in the fridge upon our arrival - such a thoughtful touch which we appreciated. Location is perfect - steps from the brewery and lots of great restaurants. Cute little inside wood burning fireplace was so lovely on a cool wet evening. Queen size bed was super comfy.
