"This was our second stay at Maria's Vine, and it truly radiates tranquility. I've had the privilege of celebrating both my wedding and my baby reveal at this beautiful venue, and I can honestly say it has created the most precious memories. I highly recommend this Airbnb for anyone looking to make lasting memories, find peace of mind, or simply enjoy a relaxing retreat. If you want to have an awesome time and experience, then you’re at the right place. For us it was the perfect last days of our sabbatical. The cottage is surrounded by beautiful nature and the cottage itself is so nice decorated, we can’t describe it differently than it’s just a unique place. The cottage is on a farm in the Kalahari Dessert with its lovely red dunes. You’ll get your quiet and peace and still be able to acknowledge some farmlife if you want to. The cottage is big enough for a family and has everything you need for a nice stay. On every side you got a terrace to enjoy this beautiful place. And for those who like to braai or to have a nice fire, there is a private spot. The exchange with Wynand and his family was always nice and they were very welcoming. People we really appreciated to spend time with and people you really can learn something from. We can highly recommend this place.

An absolute gem! Unspoilt nature in rustic yet extremely comfortable, well maintained and clean accommodation. Although power sources are solar and gas, you still have all the comforts of home - just better because it is so amazingly quiet and peaceful…and the stars…oh, my goodness…incredible night sky!!

Wir haben uns bei Linza und Smit gleich wie zu Hause gefühlt, weil sie uns so herzlich aufgenommen haben und uns jeden Wunsch erfüllten. Eigentlich war es so, als würden wir uns schon lange kennen. Alles ist so liebevoll gestaltet und wir spürten, dass sie gern Gäste haben. Frische Milch stand im Kühlschrank und alles war bestens. Auch hatten wir sehr gute Gespräche und so können wir diese Unterkunft wirklich sehr empfehlen!!

Amazing accommodation with a gorgeous view. Very clean, the staff is very friendly and helpful. Lots of activities can be done, like a daytrip to Sossusvlei (1 hour drive to the gate + 45 min to Deadvlei), off-roading and hiking through with private trails. We had a great time, would definitely recommend

Leslie ist ein toller Gastgeber. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und uns stundenlang mit ihm über wirklich alles sehr gut unterhalten können. Ganz spannend, wie seine Vorfahren nach Namibia gekommen sind. Das Braai war großartig und das Allerbeste war die Fahrt über seine riesige Farm mit dem Hillux und das Umsetzen der Rinder, wo wir dabei sein konnten.

I was lucky enough to get an upgrade for my room. I loved the entire place, it was clean, well set out and free of clutter. The neighborhood is quiet and walkable. A highlight is sitting on the porch in front of the room for meals in the cool air. The host is responsive and very friendly. For the price and location close to the city center, you cannot get better in Mariental!

Almost didn’t make it here due to an unforeseen circumstance but it was so worth it!!! Was a wonderful stay and seeing the Rhinos while having dinner was the best thing ever. Highly recommend this as a stay while traveling

We booked this place for a short stopover and really liked it. The building is tucked away on a peaceful ranch and had everything we needed - it was spotless too! Martin gave us such a warm welcome and made sure we felt right at home. Finding the location was easy with GPS, though we didn’t get hold of the owner, Christian. Thankfully, Martin took the time to explain everything to us, and we really appreciated his care and attention. Please don’t forget to bring mosquito repellent or an anti-mosquito plug-in device. Also, expect the nights to be hot as there is no fan.
