From the minute you arrive, you are surrounded by the smell of drying hay; the gentle mooing of our contented cows, delightful birdsong and the giggles of our children at play. All around are our exquisite mountains, rice terracing and wild flowers.

The house was built in 2005 and has 3 bedrooms but the first floor has been partially renovated in October 2024. There is an outside deck that has panoramic views over famed surfing mecca of Kanegahama beach. Bedding is one queen, one double and two single beds. There is also a futon mattress that can be used if needed (it is not as comfortable as the beds!). As this house is in a residential area, we ask all guests to refrain from making loud noise/music outside, especially after dark.

A traditional Japanese-style room is set up in a Japanese-style house. You can also take a bath by breaking wood and boiling it. It is shared, but you can use 2 toilets and 3 washrooms.there is also an 8-tatami tea room, so you can enjoy the Omotesenke-style tea ceremony using local Japanese sweets in the experience menu. Cooking experiences are popular and advance reservations are required, but bacon making using local brand meat is particularly popular.

It has recently started running (spring 2024)and is in the spiritual town of Takachiho, where gods are believed to exist providing lots of spiritual energy.
