Áttum dásamlega dimbilviku á Sílastöðum. Dásamleg staðsetning nálægt Akureyri en samt fríðsæl sveita ró á staðnum. Potturinn góður og allt hreint og fínt og notalegt. Helgi var sérstaklega inndæll þegar ég þurfti á honum að halda og brást við fagmannlega, hratt og vinalega. Mæli innilega með og við munum koma aftur.

Comfortable well appointed house in a great town from which to explore the local area. Kitchen worked really well for breakfasts and dinners at home. Plenty of space for our family.

Eydis est l’hôte la plus bienveillante et accueillante que j’ai pu avoir. Notre arrivée a été très perturbée à cause de la météo (vent violent et chutes de neige) , le papa d’Eydis nous attendait à la maison pour s’assurer de notre arrivée. La maison était parfaite, et très propre. Eydis a toujours été disponible pour répondre à nos questions et nous a même proposé de rester une nuit supplémentaire sans frais à cause de la météo qui a empêché notre départ. J’espère avoir l’occasion de recroiser un jour votre chemin !

Absolutely incredible stay!!! We all agreed it was the best Airbnb experience of our lives. The cabin and surroundings are breathtaking. Would totally recommend for exploring the peninsula. Hosts were very helpful and responsive!

We stayed at Anita's place for a night, and it was a lovely stay. She was responsive when we needed her help finding the place. The cabin is clean and beautiful, towels and toiletries were available as described, and there were some sporadic kitchen ingredients (I recommend bringing your own salt, oil, etc) It's situated a bit further off the town, so there was no light pollution at all. The surroundings are also beautiful and quaint, with some horses on the farm next door. Anita also has several cute, fluffy dogs that are very friendly. Furthermore, Anita actually let us know that there were northern lights just outside the cabin when we were busy preparing dinner (would have definitely missed that otherwise). When we had left, she told us promptly that we probably had missed a bag, which we did, so we managed to come back and pick it up before we drove too far. I totally recommend Anita and her cabins. If we come to Iceland again, we are thinking of coming back to stay here.

Location was perfect for sightseeing near and far. The airbnb was very comfortable and warm with a well equipped kitchen. Trausti was a great host. I would highly recommend this place.

Kids enjoyed the most because of the PlayStation .We loved the cute radio playing in the morning during breakfast and the coffee machine was perfect ! We were very comfortable in your house . House was perfect for a family of 4. Also loved the attractions folder . We enjoyed the Mexican food from the food truck company and the ice creams from the local shop. Watched a nice movie together last night . Was home away from home . Thanks a lot .

Wonderful location and home. Very close to center city, close to restaurant and grocery store. Host was very helpful and everything we needed was available in the home. Bed was very comfortable and the place was much bigger than it seems in the photos. We look forward to coming back and staying here again!

Great place with lovely views

Very convenient location for exploring the Snæfellsness Peninsula. Since you can park right outside the front door, moving in is easy. The host responded quickly to any concerns. The only drawback is that the shower wall doesn’t extend far enough, resulting in a wet bathroom floor.

Solid vehicle, super comfortable and warm. A GREAT way to see Iceland if you only have 24hrs! If you are coming from Canada, be prepared for insane gas prices…More than $300 to fill the tank.

Nice cabin amongst the woods in Husafell. We were fortunate to enjoy the aurora from the deck on both nights! The floor heating made the cabin cosy. Husafell is wonderful place to enjoy nature, including several treks nearby, and Karl's cabin provided a nice home base.

Location superba e host molto disponibile. Apprezzabile l'attenzione ai dettagli nell'arredamento e la cura delle esigenze anche per i più piccoli. Abbiamo comunicato diverse volte con l'host ed i riscontri sono sempre stati rapidissimi e cordiali. Molto cordiale il saluto personalizzato ricevuto all'arrivo.

We really loved the Place. It was quiet and warm and beautiful. The hot tub was so nice and the view just great. The house had everything we needed - and more.

Lovely cottage with amazing views. Cottage was clean, cozy, and exactly what we were looking for. Comfy beds and couch. Loved the covered hot tub - we had windy/rainy evenings, so it was nice to soak while having some weather protection! There is a large windowed sliding door you can open as well to let in cool air in. Host was friendly and communicative, check-in and check-out were very easy. Other pros - there’s a cute restaurant onsite, and we didn’t use them, but also laundry facilities. We’d definitely stay again!

One of the best places we stayed while in Iceland. We were able to walk to the private black sand beach to watch the sunset. So picturesque and beautiful. The yurt was very comfortable. The heated beds were perfect. Even caught a glimpse of the northern lights! Cannot recommend this place enough.

Waren nun zum zweiten Mal in der Unterkunft. Schön ruhig und abgelegen und dennoch sind Selfoss und oder touristische Ziele schnell zu erreichen. Selfoss und der Krater Kerið in ca 15 Minuten und der Nationalpark Þingvellir in 40 Minuten. Ideale Ferienwohnung für 2 Personen die im Urlaub abschalten wollen. Auch der Kontakt mit Steinunn ist schnell und unkompliziert. Nächster Urlaub ist schon in der Planung.

Wie waren die erste Nacht unseres Urlaubs hier und es hat für uns gut gepasst. Klein aber fein. Nahe am Flughafen :-)

Hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt in Valdimars Tiny House. Wunderschön eingerichtetes Häuschen mit toller Raumaufteilung und Ausstattung. Super Aussicht.

Maria's cabin is out of the way on a small lake. The scenery is beautiful. The cabin had all the necessities and comfortable beds. One bedroom was on the small side, but the main bedroom was large. The only issue was a difference in how America and Icelandic people make their number 1's. I thought the Wi-Fi code had a 7 in it but it was a 1. After I figured that out, the Wi-Fi worked great. :-)

This was the perfect stay for our 2 families of 3. Beautiful home in a peaceful location. I cannot emphasize enough how fantastic Gunnsa and Oli were. They were so responsive and helpful with our stay, recommending a taxi driver and making inquiries for us related to activities we wanted to do. The check in and check out was SO flexible and easy- the hosts were just amazing our whole week, going above and beyond. I would highly recommend staying at this beautiful home in Iceland.

Hafdis’ space is cozy and the view can’t be beat. It was as described and there were so many useful and personal touches. Hafdis was so kind and thoughtful. She alerted us of the Aurora so we could see and throughout the night we could view them from the window in the bedroom. The bathroom is clean with a great shower and some privacy from the sleeping space. The kitchenette is well stocked with useful items. If we ever return to Iceland we would definitely stay here again!

our stay in the little cabin was great! it's very cozy and was a great place to be when the weather was rough. would absolutely take another trip and stay here!
