Private Ballard Backyard Cottage with Natural Light

Escape the bustle of the city and relax in a cozy backyard sanctuary. Sample local craft beer in an Adirondack chair in the garden. Watch a widescreen TV from the bed and make coffee in the morning. This adorable cottage comes complete with queen bed, hardwood flooring, kitchenette with Farmhouse sink, kitchen island, fridge freezer, Kuerig coffee maker, toaster, slow cooker, and induction hot plate. With a 50 gallon water heater there will be enough hot water for all your needs. The high end bathroom is completed with a Kohler sink, toilet and hardware. There is also a closet to hang and store clothes and bags. The cottage is heated via high efficiency electric infra red heaters mounted on the ceiling. There is also a whole house ventilation system to keep the air fresh throughout the year (the switch to turn hi/low or on/off is inside the closet). Cable TV, wifi and a DVD player are also available. Amazon and Netflix are included on the smart TV for your use with your own passwords. Free parking is available on the street in front of the Cottage/Main house. The Cottage is a short walk via a gravel pathway to the right of the main house towards the back of the property. Guests are welcome to use the patio seating area outside the Cottage, which includes Adirondack chairs, picnic table, and a Weber grill. We welcome contact via email, text or cell at anytime before or during your stay to answer any questions you may have. During your stay, we like to leave the personal interaction guest dependent. We value your privacy and would love to give you a friendly welcome greeting if we pass. However, we are always available and more than happy to chat, just let us know. The Seattle neighborhood of Ballard has many restaurants, bars, coffee shops, a cinema, bakeries, and quirky stores. The Sunday market is a must. Golden Gardens Beach, the Ballard Locks, and the Nordic Heritage Museum are all close by. The Cottage is around a 20 min drive to Downtown Seattle. One block from the Cottage you can catch the #40 bus to Downtown Seattle, Fremont, and South Lake Union. Uber and Lyft are readily available in this neighborhood. Grant and Bev are garden lovers, whether it's pottering in the garden, BBQ'ing outside the main house or just chilling. Our kids are also outdoor enthusiasts so will be in and out the garden space around the main house. There is also a store room built at the back of the Cottage with access only from the garden that we use time to time. We respect your privacy and space. The patio area outside the Cottage is for your exclusive use.

Our magical studio is close to downtown Greenwood and has easy transit access everywhere in the city (bus stops are within walking distance!). There's a movie theater, grocery store, beautiful coffee shop, and a few restaurants less than a mile away.. You’ll love the oversized windows and stylish esthetic (all wood walls, recessed light, & polished cement floor). We've provided beautiful linens, personal touches, and a clean space so you can enjoy your time in this perfect Seattle home base.

Cozy Clubhouse Retreat on Five Peaceful Acres

Dine on the quaint patio at a relaxed hideaway. Stroll the paths and gardens on the beautiful five-acre estate before getting cozy inside with a game of pool on the antique pool table. There's lots to do! We are five minutes from the beautiful town of Poulsbo, 20 minutes from Bainbridge Island and the ferry to Seattle, and just 1 1/2 hour to the heart of the Olympic National Park. We are 45 minutes from Pt. Townsend. We are also close by to lovely trails and beaches on the Kitsap Peninsula.

Convenient access to Seattle via Kingston or Bainbridge ferries, including the fast ferry from Kingston. Nicely located at the north end of the Kitsap Peninsula, with proximity to the Olympic Peninsula. Downtown Poulsbo is under 15 minutes away. Located just over a mile south of the iconic Hood Canal floating bridge.

We use CDC guidelines as close as possible & leave 24+ hours between guests for your/our safety. Enjoy our secluded park like setting, comfy bed, sauna, homemade bread/jam, huge cedar trees, sitting areas, golf chipping (seasonal). Close to SEA via ferry ride from Bainbridge Is. (30 min. drive) or 10 min. to Kingston ferries (walk-on or car). Near beach, golf (White Horse GC) & miles of hiking/biking trails, close to shopping & restaurants. Good for couples/singles.
