Renta de alojamientos vacacionales con chimenea en Islay

We loved our short stay in the wee cottage. It was very cozy, clean, and homey. We would happily return for another stay, and highly recommend for anyone looking for a quiet rural accommodation. Admittedly there isn’t much in the immediate vicinity for food or activities, but plenty to do just a short drive away. Diane was excellent recommending some places to visit and eat. If this catches your eye - book it!

Wir waren für 2 Nächte hier. Als wir die Wohnung betraten, haben wir uns sofort sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Ausstattung ist sehr gut und es war blitzeblank sauber. Jackie ist unglaublich nett und sehr zuvorkommend, reagiert schnell auf Fragen. Wir können die Unterkunft auf jeden Fall mit sehr gutem Gewissen weiterempfehlen. Vielen Dank für den tollen Aufenthalt.

Beautiful cottage right in the heart of Port Ellen. very comfortable and homely, with everything we needed. Comfy beds, well equipped kitchen. Anne was a great host, very responsive to messages and arranged for us to get access early to have our bags, so that we could go out and enjoy our first day on the island, having arrived on early morning flight. she messaged to check we'd got in ok and see whether we needed anything. Can't fault it - would stay again.

Excellent emplacement pour visiter Islay, légèrement en retrait de Port Ellen, dans un cadre hyper paisible et avec une belle vue dégagée sur le sud de l’île.

Linda’s flat is lovely and bright and spacious with everything you might need for a holiday stay. Lovely traditional period features give it lots of character and make it feel just like home and the beautiful local artworks hanging on the walls in each room make it quite unique. Not forgetting to mention that the views of Campbeltown Loch across to Davaar Island really are stunning and even the garden view from the other direction is lovely. There’s plenty of on street parking and a bright clean access close up to the flat which is made homely with plants and scents. Plus it’s only a short walk across the esplanade to the town centre. A peaceful and picturesque spot! I wouldn’t hesitate to return or recommend to others.

TL;DR - This is the best Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in. Linda and Colin took the time to meet and chat with us. They gave us recommendations and had a fire going so the cottage was warm and cozy when we arrived. The cottage was very comfortable, the views immaculate, and had everything we needed for an ideal stay. It is centrally located on Islay and you can get anywhere on island in under 25 min. You’re right on the edge of Bowmore (the town), Co-op is just down the street, and several restaurants less than 5 min away (including the Bowmore Distillery). I cannot recommend it enough. Typisch schottisches Haus, sehr geräumig, gemütlicher Wintergarten. Zu den Destilleries kann man gut zu Fuß gehen

Thanks for your hospitality and extra food provided. Very much appreciated. We really enjoyed our 6 days stay and your appartement as "homebase" for our 8 Distillery visits (and Corrywreckam Boat trip).
