I am an Artist / Photographer born in Kyoto I started hosting because I love meeting people from all over the world and making new friends. This place used to be one big guesthouse, but during Covid19, I have stopped running the guesthouse and I moved in with my wife and 2 kids. Still I didn't want to give up so I left the good parts. Private cypress bath and renovated rooms and made another entrance for the Guests. So now it is 2 separate house Please check the house rules before you book.

This 2-floor Machiya (100sq.m.) located near Nijo Castle, 10min walk from Nijo Sta. can fulfill all your imagination about Kyoto, with traditional garden, tatami rooms, and semi-open bathtub. The garden follows Japanese philosophy of seasons, with sakura blossom in spring, little pond surrounded by greens in summer, red maple in autumn, and snow on Japanese black pine in winter. It embraces the beautiful pace of nature in traditional lifestyle with the comfort of luxurious modern facilities.

The location of the hotel is in a place where you can walk to downtown area of Kyoto and famous temples. It is a very convenient place.

The only drawback is the steepness of the stairs.

We have renovated the bathroom and kitchen areas to make your stay more comfortable while still retaining the charm of the townhouse, such as the low ceilings and narrow, steep stairs. The train station (JR Saga Arashiyama Sta. 5min walk away) is from there it's 12-17 minutes to JR Kyoto Station. Arashiyama is with its beautiful scenery, the Hozu and Ooi Rivers with its romantic 'Moon-Crossing Bridge Togetsukyo,' the bamboo grove, etc...
