Hidden Garden Cottage

This 850 sf. cottage is a century old but was completely updated 12 years ago with era-appropriate furnishings, giving it a period (and safe) feel. Breakfast goodies, art, books, and a woodstove make it cozy. It sits on half an acre so lots of room for kids . It's in SW Portland, minutes from downtown. It's quiet, great for working or vacationing. An outdoor fire pit and gardens make it unique. There's even a zip line for kids. Family gatherings also fine. (Note: There is a $60 fee per dog.)

The studio has a queen bed, full kitchen, private bathroom and entrance. We offer self-check in, dedicated parking with complementary Level 2 EV charging, a private outdoor patio with seating, a gas grill and fire pit. The studio is nicely situated for short and long-term stays, visits to wine country, the coast, mountains, Portland, and surrounding communities.

For whatever brings you through/to Oregon, stay at Mama J’s comfortable, peaceful, safe and convenient spot. Portland is just ten miles away and the beaches, Columbia River Gorge and Mt. Hood are all about an hour. There are numerous hikes, from the forest right down the street to Silver Falls and beyond. Uniquely cozy with all the amenities of home but in a cottage up on Cooper Mt. Where you are surrounded by trees , feel the breezes, sunrise and sunset in the same day, and sometimes the wonderful wildlife around us. Birds in the sky , rabbits and sometimes deer, and yes our two friendly goats. Oh yes and the expansive midnight sky with the bright stars twinkling above or the big round moon shining down on you as you sit on the patio in the evening enjoying the night air.

Close to many of the valley’s best tasting rooms and vineyards. Relax with a glass of Pinot Noir and watch the sunset on your private deck, or take a short drive to Portland and explore the city. Sherwood is centrally located and the perfect distance for a day trip to the coast or the mountains.

One bedroom (with a brand new queen bed!), one bath (shower only), with a spacious living room (hide-a-bed in couch) and full kitchen. A great home away from home. We've even got a desk ready to become your mobile office! A coffee maker and fresh coffee is available for you. Free Wi-fi during your stay. This is a great location in the heart of Tigard/Beaverton.
