The neighborhood is home to a number of restaurants, cafes, and shops. The square in front of the house has ample free public parking available for cars. Uber is the quickest, most convenient and affordable way to get around. The nearest hop on, hop off bus stop is 150m from the house. For public transport the nearest MyCity bus stop is 400m from the house. Our Seaside cottage must be very high up for the best views in Cape Town. The place is simple, sweet& cozy but with BBQ & veranda for summer. Endless ocean views (whales and dolphins in winter), always a cooling breeze in summer (or the famous South Easter). The cottage is perfectly located so you can escape the hustle but at the same time are close enough to all attractions that Cape Town has to offer! The stoep features a wood fired hot tub and fire pit and looks towards the mountains and a stand of bluegums which attracts a lot of bird life. The flat is on our property but is completely separate with secure parking.

Familie Huis is a much loved family home overlooking a river wetland and surrounded by pristine fynbos. A central feature of the wonderfully spacious downstairs area is a huge inside hearth for roaring fires (or to braai or cook). It's an absolutely brilliant house for winter getaways - warm and cosy (and also great for families with small children). Its perfectly situated - a five minute walk to the beach as well as all village amenities.
