Wheatlands is a magical place! Experience the comfort and luxury of Wheatlands Country House which sleeps 10 guests in 5 spacious bedrooms. Built in 1912 this historic home boasts high, pressed ceilings, wood panelled walls, beautiful handcrafted stained glass windows, book lined corridors and antiques that have been collected through generations. We are a working wool and mohair producing Karoo farm in the heart of the Eastern Cape, situated 50 km south of the attractive town of Graaff-Reinet.

Nestled at the gateway to the Baviaanskloof in the Eastern Cape, Steytlerville is a hidden gem and an off-roader’s dream. Perfect for families, contractors and adventure seekers alike, it offers thrilling routes for bikers, 4x4s and mountain bikes, alongside wide open Karoo landscapes, star-filled skies and peaceful country living. Expect raw beauty, roaming farm animals and true tranquility. Please note: water restrictions apply, and power outages may affect water availability.

Syphonia Safaris

Syphonia Safaris is located on the outskirts of Baviaanskloof and is ideal for visitors who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life and experience country life. The house comprises of 5 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. There is also a flatlet with outside bathroom. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering. The living area has a fireplace. There is a fire pit outside where guests can sit back, relax, roast marshmallows, and gaze at the stars.

Cedar Farmhouse

There are 4 bedrooms, and two bathrooms, both with baths and one with a shower, in addition to the private outside shower. A spacious lounge with a comforting fire place and a beautiful wraparound veranda make you feel comfortable and at home. The farm is not on the main electricity grid nor is there any cell phone reception. Paraffin lamps are supplied in all rooms. The kitchen is well equipped and gas appliances are provided.

No Neighbours Farmstay Dinner, Bed and Breakfast

Enjoy a unique experience when you stay at this special place. Peaceful surroundings, lovely walks in the Karoo, a place to relax, you will see buffalo and Eland from the front stoep. Enjoy the swimming pool. Bring your bikes and go for bicycle rides. You access this property on a dirt road. Breakfast and dinner included. This excludes alcoholic beverages. Please bring along what you would like to drink.

Escape to tranquility in our private, standalone cottage nestled right in the heart of the Karoo veld. Located approximately 100 meters from the main farmhouse, this unit offers complete seclusion and privacy with breathtaking panoramic views.

Little Cabin in the Great Karoo, Lovedale Farm

A unique and totally private new cabin built for the perfect getaway! Unwind in this safe, remote location, where peace and solitude prevail. The farm is totally off the grid. Cell phone signal is good. Enjoy stargazing in your own 'Tickle Tub' - Hot Tub and outdoor shower. The cabin is well equipped for your self-catering needs.

Shama Lodge - Family Chalet

Our Family Villa is a peaceful escape in the Baviaans Mountains, perfect for up to six guests. It includes a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, double bed, three single beds, and a sunroom with dining and lounge space. Large windows and a verandah offer beautiful views of nature — ideal for a relaxed Karoo getaway.
