Look out at Hallgrímskirkja just outside the picture windows with volcanic mountain ranges in the distance. This renovated Icelandic home is filled with comforts, artisanal touches, books, and local art—all a warm welcome after a day of sightseeing. Guests staying in the flat have a fully equipped kitchen, including dishwasher, microwave, stove, and oven, and a spacious living area with artisanal dining table and Danish design couch, in addition to a quiet bedroom and wonderful shower with optimal water pressure. Other amenities include Wi-fi television with complementary Netflix access, high-speed Wi-fi, and washing-machine use. There is also free parking on the street in front of the apartment, and by Hallgrímskirkja. The apartment is ideal for a couple or solo traveller seeking a cozy, private space to get great sleep in support of Icelandic adventures. It is also suitable for longer-stay guests who desire a central home to support work in the city. Due to the walk-up staircase, the apartment is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible. Additionally, our backgrounds in literature, Icelandic, performing arts, environmental ethics, and education make for neat conversation with our fellow visitors. Cross the street to Hallgrimskirkja and take a few steps more to Laugavegur, the main street with cafes, restaurants, bars, galleries, and shops. It's ten minutes on foot to Harpa, the National Theater, the National Gallery, and other attractions. A five-minute walk takes you to Sundhöllin, the oldest swimming pool in Reykjavik; it has an indoor pool with outdoor thermal pools and a sauna - worth a visit. When arriving in the city by bus from Keflavík Airport (recommended, at 20 USD per head), you would find yourself at the central bus station (BSÍ), which is a ten-minute walk to the apartment, or a few minutes by taxi. Most buses from the airport will, if asked, drop you off at Hallgrímskirkja, Hótel Leifur Eiríksson, or Café Loki, all within a minute´s walk from the apartment. Buses returning from sight-seeing tours, Northern lights tours and such, will usually have their drop-off points at Hallgrímskirkja across the street, or at Einar Jónsson Art Museum, an arm's length away from the apartment. Hotels in the area, some within a minute's walk, have easy pick-up for those leaving for the airport. Apartment is officially registered at the City council of Reykjavík, as specified by local laws. Kirkjuland is a small farm just 10km north of Reykjavik, on Kjalarnes. Located under the beautiful mountain Esja. Peaceful and cozy.. We can host 2 persons at our facility. Fantastic view over the Reykjavik area. We are close to many beautiful places you would want to visit; like Thingvellir national park, Glymur the highest waterfall in Iceland, Húsafell , Krauma, Giljaböð natural bath places, etc. All photos of the northern lights taken in our garden! Hraðastaðir Horse riding & Farm

Studio apartment located on a farm only 20 minutes from Reykjavík!:) on the way to the golden circle which offers room for two people. Come and stay at our farm and visit our wonderful animals and/or get fresh egg from our chickens in the morning to cook in the apartment. There are also fun experiences around our farm such as a lot of beautiful hiking trails, horse riding and more. It's a very good location to plan day trips from. If there are northern lights you can see right outside the door.

On the property the owner operates a sustainable and organic vegetable farm, both outdoors and in heated greenhouses. When not in use as a rental property, the home is used as a craft workshop.

Welcome to the newly renovated farmhouse in Esjuberg, where you sleep by the roots of the mountain. This house truly has it all, from a beautiful ocean view, horses in the backyard, and a phenomenal view over Reykjavik. Esjuberg plays a big part in a very interesting Icelandic Viking story called the Kjalnesinga Saga. In this story, a woman named Esja lived here along with her foster son Búi, who became a very mighty man.
