We had a great time in Whanganui with lots to do over the school hols. While we weren’t in the house very much, it was comfortable and very well appointed for our group from 11 to 82! The backyard and games room are excellent for families.

The house was lovely and our group had a very enjoyable stay. Peter met us on arrival and welcomed us and then came and saw us as we were leaving. We had a power cut (very brief) but Peter messaged us straight away to see if we needed any torches. The house had everything we needed and was great for a group of adult. (Would also be a great place to stay with kids - lots of games and outdoor activities. Great big section and plenty of parking. Very secure.

Richard was a very responsive host and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. The cottage is lovely and private, set among mature trees and garden. The kids loved the spa and sleeping up a ladder in the loft. Thanks again for a great stay

absolutely stunning property everything you would imagine a homestead to be, it was really grand inside put also warm and very comfortable. we have two children so it was nice to relax and let them enjoy the space. pool was great we had some fun imagine the summer months to be even better. This is a really special spot! We had never driven down this coast before and Mataikona is truly beautiful. Wild beach, incredible rock formations and often felt like we were the only ones there. It felt private and peaceful, just what we needed for a short break away. The Castlepoint Hotel is a great spot to get good food in front of a warm fire and very friendly service. Beautiful view of the beach from the bedroom (which is just a short walk across the road) and nice and cosy. Classic kiwi bach with everything you need for a relaxed break. Hosts very helpful, and plenty of information to make the stay comfortable.

Beautiful home!! Beautiful views!! accommodation is great for large groups, highly recommend this accommodation for a peaceful serene get away.

Wow.! This is such a great place. Stunning views, immaculate presentation with everything thought of for guests including bread, cereals, jams, wine & chocolates. The house was warm and inviting and I could look at the view all day (the price you pay for the stairs).
