Casa Cielo is a special place. I was looking for something more unique than the rinse and repeat new Airbnb builds closer to La Fortuna. The huge windows overlooking the private lake was serene. Curt is an incredible host who truly embraces the concept of "hosting". The food was spectacular - way above and beyond. Extremely generous high-effort home cooking from Vielca (sp?). We enjoyed both breakfast and dinner each day we were there and had no desire to go to restaurants. They even did laundry for us! I'd definitely return and recommend to anyone looking for a unique place to stay.

We enjoyed our stay! It's a nice, clean home with scenic views in an authentic, safe community. We bought a few basics for breakfast (eggs, queso blanco, milk, coffee, juice) at the nearby community mini-market (a few blocks away) so we could make breakfast at the place. If you want fresh fruits & veggies, you should stop at a bigger market on your way (La Fortuna? Or El Castillo?). We ate dinner twice at the nearby La Terraza restaurant, which was good. We loved the batidos de fruta (fruit smoothies/shakes - 'de leche' ('of milk') . My favorite is the batido de papaya (de leche). My kids also tried the strawberry, pineapple, maracuya (and I think others, too!). We enjoyed the dishes we had there, too. Internet at the house can be spotty, but there's some cell reception, too. If you're on vacation and just checking your email from time to time and researching things to do in the area, it's fine; if you're looking to be a digital nomad, this is probably not the place for you.

Highly recommend this modern home. Exactly what we were looking for as its extremely peaceful and only a few minutes drive to restaurants, gym, cafe, etc.. Thanks for allowing us to stay in your home and now I need to remodel my home in the states to look like this!

After staying here last year our kids were so excited to come back! They love the pool! The house has everything you need and is very clean! The property is amazing and we have even seen several sloths.

Villa 2 was an amazing stay for our family of 5. Our 3 young children loved the pool and walking the property looking for birds, lizards, bugs, and the sloth. It was a perfect location to explore La Fortuna on our trip and was a great deal! Would love to return!

This place is an absolute gem! Very close to downtown La Fortuna but still so private and secluded. The backyard and natural pool are GORGEOUS and we even saw a sleeping sloth, monkeys in the trees, so many beautiful birds, and adorable agoutis running around. Our group of 7 fit perfectly and we loved that each room had its own bathroom. Just a heads up though that one of the bed+bathrooms is detached from the rest of the house so that is a bit more isolated/private. My family spent every morning outside listening to all the sounds of nature. We couldn't have asked for a better home for our stay and would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone traveling to La Fortuna.

The view over the lake arenal is just phenomenal! The house has a huge garden with some fruits, herbs & vegetables wich we were allowed to eat. We can for sure recommend.

Lovely place with a beautiful lake view. The check-in mechanism allow us enter at early morning when we were coming from my sister’s wedding. Highly recommend if you what to spend a peaceful night with the song of the lake/river and births and delicious native food restaurants around the area. Thanks Yinley for this opportunity!!!

Greetings, I wanted to tell you how much we enjoyed our stay. We loved the views of the lake and mountains. The view from the living room is a constant reminder of the incredible natural beauty of Arenal. We enjoyed how the morning light fills the house, especially the main bedroom. We cooked almost every day. Great stove and a well equipped kitchen was a plus and saved us a lot of money. The house is cozy with great views. The grounds are beautiful and enhance the surrounding natural beauty. We really enjoyed the quiet comfort of the house and the environment you have created. Alexandra est une hôte incroyable. Nous avons passé 10 jours de rêve chez elle. Elle est disponible, attentionnée, gentille et j’en passe. Le logement est fonctionnel, avec une vue sur la jungle. C’est très calme, parfait pour un dépaysement et avoir de la tranquillité.Il est indispensable d’avoir une voiture car le logement n’est pas tout prêt du centre et des autres activités. Je recommande à 100% !

Amazing views! This condo was comfortable and clean. The location was perfect as a base to visit all the places around Guanacaste.

Nice and modern apartment, located in a very beautiful section of the valley with great views of Lake Arenal. Tanyia and Rod were also very friendly and provided us with a list of local attractions.

La fortuna nunca decepciona y en esta ocasión en el hospedaje de Adrian no fue la excepción, su casa es simplemente hermosa, acogedora y con una vista increíble, cuenta con lo necesario para hacer de la estadía muy placentera. This place was absolutely gorgeous—just like the pictures, if not better! The property was peaceful and full of charm, with a cute little pond and lots of animals that made our stay even more special. We truly wish we had stayed longer. Keylor, the host, was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout our visit. We absolutely recommend this place and hope to be back soon!

This was a most beautiful setting. The views of Lake Arenal and the volcanal were spectacular. If you climb to the top of the property (very easy to do as it is open pasture) it is even more beautiful and the volcano is easier to see. The property both inside and out had room for a larger group than the four of us except for sleeping area. There were two queen beds and two bedrooms and also a pullout couch in the living area. The only reason I mention this is the kitchen, living room, outside patios and size of the outdoor area would lend itself to a much larger group than current sleeping arrangements afford. Melissa, our host, was very responsive to questions and problems. One bathrooms hot water was not working and she offered to have it fixed right away. We opted to just use the one bathroom so as not to interrupt our stay. Melissa seemed genuinely interested in making any suggested improvements and was a pleasure to deal with. Great location 20 minutes from La Fortuna.

We had a great stay, and really enjoyed using the hot tub after long adventure days. The home had everything we needed. It was clean and comfortable.

Además, el billar (pool) fue una excelente adición para la diversión en familia. ¡Sin duda, una experiencia increíble y nos encantaría volver!

Absolutely loved our stay! The property is stunning, with beautifully maintained grounds and breathtaking views of the volcano. Very private - no one else nearby. Our kids couldn’t get enough of the pool and jacuzzi—it was the perfect place to relax. The location is great too, just a quick and easy 15-minute drive into downtown. Kenneth was an exceptional host—super responsive and thoughtful, even leaving fresh coconuts in the fridge for us. We would definitely stay here again!

Esta lugar es una casa muy bonita con bastante espacio, la piscina muy linda y toda la propiedad está hermosa y cerca de la Fortuna de san Carlos. Tiene acceso a un río donde entra carro (algunas partes solo carro alto). La dueña de la casa nos trató super bien e incluso nos consiguió algunas cosas que queríamos. Recomiendo el lugar si les gusta pasar un buen rato en familia.
