Cob Cottage

Channel the pursuit of pause in this one-of-a-kind earth house. The cozy retreat was hand-sculpted using local and sustainable natural materials, and features a central living space with cantilevered slab stairs leading to the loft bedroom. Guests have access to the entire cottage and surrounding property. We live in the neighbouring house, and are happy to give advice or answer questions to help you make the most of your stay. The neighborhood is quite rural and mostly agricultural with several farms and a small private vineyard. The home is a 10 minute walk from the beach and a 20 minute walk from a family grocery and deli specializing in local organic produce. Mayne Island has a small community bus. Times and routes are limited, particularly in the winter. It will stop at the driveway. We also have an official hitch hiking system with signed Car Stops where you can wait for a ride. Usually you don't have to wait long. We are happy to offer pickup and drop off at the ferry dock as a courtesy to encourage car-free travellers, on days when the community bus is not running. Please let us know ahead of time that you'll be coming without your own transportation, and we will make sure that either we or the community bus (which will drop you off at our driveway) are there to meet you when your ferry arrives. The BC Ferries terminals near Victoria and Vancouver are easily reachable via public transit from their respective airports and downtowns.

Private two bed with laundry basement suite with a separate driveway/parking, entrance, and patio area. Queen bed in bedroom and queen bed in bachelor space. Futon in living space. Central air conditioning. Ocean glimpses and walking distance to nearby playground and trails. In suite pedal bike storage. Two minutes drive from SaveOnFoods, McDonalds, liquor store in quiet neighbourhood. Relax in our cozy air bnb after a full day of exploring Vancouver Island. 30 minutes from Nanaimo and Duncan.

Ocean view corner suite | Modern & Cozy Stay

Come stay in our new lovely above ground basement suite. We live above with our 3 young kids and noise should be expected between 8am-11pm. This probably isn't for you if you're looking for a serene, romantic getaway. It's comfortable, A/C, has a fabulous view, is centrally located for island adventures. Nestled in gorgeous hillside, space for outdoor gear, kitchen with induction cooktop, private laundry, Wifi etc. Adjacent to another AirBNB suite and not suitable for kids. Hope to see you soon!

Harbour House

Fun and funky artists cottage with oceanfront, and panoramic views of Ladysmith Harbour and Woodley Range Ecological Reserve. Watch otters, seals and blue Herons as you sip your morning coffee on the covered deck. Use the 2 sit on top Kayaks and paddle board, included with your stay, to explore the harbour and the small islands across from the house. We live here and our home is compliant with the laws and bylaws for our area. There is a full kitchen and open, spacious dining and living areas.

A stay at the Granary comes with a tour of the Keating farm if you choose! Our guests have loved learning about the history and future of the farm. The cabin is designed for a cozy place to unwind, relax and be your Cowichan home base. Ladysmith Comfort

Our approx. 600 sq. ft. suite is on the lower level of our home. We offer a private entrance, one private bedroom, a private bath( with shower, toilet and sink/vanity), microwave oven, fridge, eating and relaxing areas, large tv, wifi and the use of a private patio, small lawn area and barbeque. Parking is available for one regular size vehicle. No smoking or partying. No pets. Please be advised that we are not set up for infants or children so the suite is for adults only.

Lakeview Escape at Vanisle by the Lake
