Looking out from the Castillo terrace, in front of you lies the ancient volcanic Apoyo lake. In the distance, you can see the Mombacho volcano, Lake Nicaragua, the city of Granada and the Isletas ,and sometimes Concepcion.

The distance to the paved road is 2 1/2 km, where the city Masatepe begins. You find here a daily market and supermarket and buses are leaving to the touristic attractions.
