Boat ramp and swimming 200 m away at the end of the street, and the rowing course and cafe are 5 minutes walk just the other side of the Karapiro dam. 2 canoes, paddles and lifejackets, sunny outdoor decks, BBQ and fantastic views make this a special place to relax. Welcome to Sanctuary Mountain Maungatautari! Located on the side of our visitor centre sits a spacious two-bedroom home. It is a relaxing and comfortable place to unwind, with stunning views and amazing walking trails right at your door. We are New Zealand's largest fenced eco-sanctuary, home to 2,500 kiwi which you should be able to hear at night. Your accommodation includes free access for self-guided walks through the Southern Enclosure, or book a tour to get truly immersed in nature.

This properties entrance is on the Hauraki Cycle Trail, only 2.5 km from town. The cottage is surrounded by farm land. You will have exclusive use of this 3 bedroom country home which easily accommodates 7 people. An 11 minute drive to the sensational Wairere Falls bush walk . 17 minutes to Hobbiton Movie set . Has foam mattresses for groups up to 11 as well as a portacot. Please be aware of electric fences on driveway( but not near house surroundings )
