What a hidden gem of a place! We feel so lucky to have found Stable Oak Cottages and to have spent New Year there with our family celebrating our sons 18th. The place was gorgeous and the hot tub such a treat! The alpacas were great entertainment and the luxurious little touches from bath robes and sliders, to home baked bread and muffins were just wonderful. Highly recommend.

Our group of 7 friends and a dog had a lovely stay at the barn. We loved the social spaces, it was great that the garden is secure so Fergus was free to roam but also contained. The outdoor dining space is great to enjoy in the good weather and the indoor spaces are cosy. Loved the extra touches of fairy lights on and log burner lit on arrival, dressing gowns and slippers and plenty of towels was great. We had a day in nearby Whitstable, walked to a local pub for lunch another day. A great base. The only thing worth noting is that to get to the single beds you need to crawl so will only work for adults than can crawl. Very likely to return.

This cozy little property was exactly as described, and is tucked away in the most beautiful surrounds. Our lovely host, Laura, was easy to communicate with and made us feel right at home. The only down-side is the hum from the motorway (depending on the wind’s direction), but that can be easily drowned out by the jets from the private hot tub! ;) All in all, Point Lodge is a perfect escape from the world! I’ll definitely be returning!

The cottage is beautiful, photos don't do it justice. Has everything you need. Log burner and hot tub made for a really relaxing stay. The views are wonderful. Local pub King's Arms serves excellent food nearby. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area.

Review for previous Airbnb: We had such a lovely stay at this beautiful place! The house itself was very homey and comfortable, with spacious rooms, comfy beds, and charming decorations that made it feel really welcoming. The kitchen was large and well-equipped, and we especially enjoyed the outdoor seating area and private garden — perfect for meals in the sunshine. The gardens were absolutely gorgeous, with lots of space to sit, relax, and explore. There were even orchards at the bottom of the property, which added such a peaceful, countryside feel. We had a few great BBQs outside and our dog loved all the open space to run around and enjoy. The hosts were very friendly and responsive, always quick to answer any questions. The only downside was the Wi-Fi due to the rural location which wasn’t always quite strong enough for watching TV or doing much work online. But aside from that, it was a truly tranquil and relaxing place to stay. Would definitely recommend!

The cottages are in a beautiful location, with precise locations from Doug which made it easy to locate. The house was well kept and the hot tub was a brilliant addition with instructions on how to operate if unsure, the hospitality was great. As well the grounds around the church and cottage’s are kept to tip top condition. We absolutely loved our stay and would love to come back.

Lovely place in beautiful surroundings with great walks from the door. Perfect for a relaxed couple of days and the weather was on our side!

We had a wonderful stay The cottage is well located for walkers (we were walking the Pilgrim Way) with beautiful views. It had everything we needed and felt like home from home. We appreciated the little extras, milk, apple juice, tea, coffee, shower gel etc. Lots to do locally and we made use of the Coop and local pubs in Lenham. Peter and Stella could not have been more helpful.

Beautiful little annexe in lovely grounds. Very clean and tidy inside with all the things you'd need (and a little bag in the bathroom for things you may have forgotten!) Bed was extremely comfortable and the hosts are friendly, very responsive to messages and very keen to help. Definitely would recommend.

Lovely little place! Gorgeous walk through woods on your doorstep, dog friendly, and lovely bedroom and bathroom! Nice garden area too, and parking right outside. There’s no oven or hob but the listing does explain that!

We enjoyed every minute at The Stable! Beautiful interior, comfortable, quirky and classy, with everything you could need. Garden is a little sun trap. The bath is such a treat. Welcome pack was generous and much appreciated. Within walking distance to Southend centre, beach, Leigh-on-Sea and transport into London. Hosts were very friendly, helpful and responsive. Couldn’t recommend it more! Will definitely be back if they will have us!

We would like to say a big thank you. We had a fantastic weekend stay at this property. The garden was 100% safe for our dog and we found it nice and quiet, surrounded by nature and orchards. Mark had left lots of leaflets showing what's going on in the area, and was very kind to recommend places to visit and eat/drink. The accommodation was designed and decorated with alot of thought and attention to detail, to establish a very comfortable stay. We will certainly be visiting again.

De cottage was fantastisch, het ontbrak ons aan niets. Caroline & Jim waren niet aanwezig maar Caroline’s ouders hebben ons uiterst vriendelijk ontvangen en geholpen. De grote tuin is prachtig, alles zeer goed verzorgd. Fijne pub vlakbij en vele mooie wandelingen in het bos of door de velden mogelijk.

Home from home. Comfortable, clean and just perfect for my stay visiting my daughter and grandsons. Jeanette left me a welcome present which was much appreciated as it was a return visit. Very quiet area and perfect for walking around the village. Always an asset to be able to park your car off the road too. 5 star on everything. Can't wait to go back and Jeanette living next door is a huge bonus.

Jacqueline's Cottage truly lived up to all expectations set forth from previous reviews. The surroundings are peaceful and idyllic, and she has created a "suburban retreat" within SevenOaks. The cottage is very well kept and appointed, and there is very little to desire that has not already been provided, right down to the fresh-baked bread and goodie basket awaiting your arrival. We would recommend the cottage to families, couples, or mature friends traveling together. If you like to enjoy the countryside with walks in the fields, I'd imagine you won't find better. Very ideal for a weekend getaway, long-term stay, or visiting your boarding Sennockian.

The place was spotless, cozy, and exactly as described—but the real standout was the host. So kind, responsive, and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Truly made our trip stress-free. Highly recommend!

We were looking for a quiet spot to stay for a short break and Michelle's cottage fitted the bill perfectly. It is very comfortable and has everything that we needed. A great mix of wildlife and other attractions are within easy reach. We will certainly visit again when next in the area.

Great stay, super quiet, peaceful, the cottage is behind the host's house but fully separate, great break from the city, everything worked, beautiful countryside, amazing sunrise from the bedroom!
