This was a last minute booking as a stopover on our way North, our only regret is that we hadn't found Fiona's sooner and stayed for longer. The house has a natural charm that is rare find these days, and the breakfast was superb.

This is a beautiful place to spend some time while in Scotland. Claire, Bruce (and Penny the dog) were warm and friendly hosts. The house was cozy and clean and the surroundings absolutely stunning. Easy to navigate even if you don’t have a rental vehicle, as taxis are readily available with knowledgeable drivers (and Claire and Bruce are happy to accommodate pick up and drops offs - even in the early morning if that’s what’s needed!). I’d definitely recommend this stay to any traveller looking for a peaceful rural experience.

We had an amazing stay! The location was perfect, and the house had such a unique charm. We wish we could have spent more time at the house, but we were eager to explore the city. John was an excellent host, and his two daughters were a true delight. Most mornings, we enjoyed breakfast with the two of them, and they were wonderful company, sharing stories and laughter. If we ever return to Edinburgh, this place will definitely be our top choice!

You have to stay here if you’re visiting Edinburgh or any of the other places in Scotland. It truly is home away from home! The room and bathroom has every amenity possible, so cozy, very clean and absolutely beautiful. H and Jimmy are the nicest people, just wanting your stay to be comfortable and enjoy Scotland. We ate in Prestonpans then walked along the beach each night with a sunset, one of the highlights of our trip. It’s a few minute drive or 15 walking. We took the train ( so close to the house) to Edinburgh only took 15 minutes. Im so glad we booked here because it’s a great beach town away from the city craziness, I couldn’t wait to get back and go for a walk in this cute town. Huge bonus is visiting with H & Jimmy. Enjoy!

We had a wonderful stay! The accommodation was very comfortable, and Felicitas’ family are absolutely incredible — so warm, welcoming, and helpful throughout our visit. Every morning, they prepared a delicious breakfast for us, sometimes even quite early to accommodate our plans. One morning, they even joined us for breakfast, making us feel completely at home. It was amazing to hear their stories and connect with them on a personal level. The location is perfect too, with shops, restaurants, trains, and buses all just a short walk away. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the area!

My elderly aunt and mum stayed with Rose and praised the cleanliness of the home, sheer number of amenities (water kettle, coffee, tea, biscuits in room, games, shampoo, hair dryer, etc.) and friendliness of the hosts. Their room and bath were easy to access on the ground floor. Rose was always quick to respond to me and it was a comfort to know they were well looked after before my daughter’s wedding.

Absolutely amazing stay! Just book it. Their home and property is gorgeous, and you could not ask for a better host! So friendly and helpful. Having breakfast available is always a plus as well. One of our best Air BnB stays!

Our stay at this beautiful Edinburgh Airbnb was absolutely perfect! The location couldn’t have been better — tucked in a quiet neighborhood that’s just minutes from the heart of the city, yet also close to gorgeous nature walks. It gave us the best of both worlds. The home itself is stunning, and our room was spacious, stylishly appointed, and incredibly comfortable, complete with a luxurious en-suite bath. Every detail felt thoughtfully curated to create a warm and relaxing atmosphere. But what truly made our stay unforgettable were the hosts. They were wonderfully welcoming, full of great conversation and local recommendations, and went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Each morning, they prepared the most incredible breakfasts — a true highlight of our trip! We can’t recommend this place highly enough and would absolutely stay here again on our next visit to Edinburgh!

Great stay for two nights, Easy and smooth check-in, the room described clearly like the pictures,expect to share a wonderful living room and kitchen with other guests, breakfast was delicious. The house 20 minuets far from the city center, hosts are very friendly and help me to keep my luggage until my next check in, if you look for clean and quiet places this is the right place, overall it was a good time spending there. They let me to take many pictures for the house and share it in my insta@M4.f.

Unfortunately Mary was called away to look after a sick relative on the day of our arrival but John Archie was a fantastic and welcoming host to us and our doggy. The house was beautifully clean and the bedding and towels immaculate. The bed and pillows were so comfortable! It was a nice quiet area but with easy access to all the amenities of South Queensferry. John Archie put on a delicious breakfast for us and was such good company that I felt like I’d made a friend by the time we left. A shame we didn’t get to meet Mary but I hope we can come back and will definitely want to visit John Archie and Mary again if we are ever in the area.

I had a wonderful stay with Eleanor! She was responsive and accommodating from the start. During the stay she was friendly, attentive, and helpful. The place is clean, convenient, and your room is very private. Great location for someone seeking a quiet retreat that is still accessible to everything. Getting around couldn’t be easier with a bus stop just around the corner and plenty of free street parking.

Wir waren hier für eine Nacht und wir sind froh, dass wir das Zimmer auf Airbnb gefunden haben. Es liegt sehr zentral, nur wenige Gehminuten und ihr seid direkt in der Altstadt. Es gibt genügend Parkplätze in der Wohngegend (kostenpflichtig bis 17:30 Uhr). Außerdem hat man einen wundervollen Blick auf Arthurs Seat. Das Zimmer und das Bad waren sauber. Sam war sehr freundlich! ☺️

Set in a stunning location, Lucy’s house was a real treat to stay in. We felt privileged to be allowed to be in such a beautiful home. We would highly recommend this accommodation.

Such a beautiful experience! We spent one night, before heading out to continue our drive further north … everything was absolutely perfect. The accommodations are so well-appointed, so many lovely touches… and the town was quiet and quaint and nice got walking. I wish we could have stayed days longer!

We had an amazing time at Fay’s yurt, both her and Jamie were super helpful and very friendly, they made us feel very welcome and explained everything to us on arrival while showing us around as well as giving us some tips of places to visit nearby. They were attentive and there to help us when we needed but also gave us privacy. The yurt itself is unreal, really clean and tidy with everything we needed inside and the log fire was great, made the place so cosy. The walled garden is absolutely beautiful and the 3 friendly goats were a real highlight for us, we went to see them every morning! The kitchen and bathroom areas were well stocked and clean, it was great to have access to them both and made our stay really comfortable. The surrounding areas are also stunning, a truly special place if you’re looking for somewhere quiet and relaxing to stay. It’s well situated for visiting the places we wanted to go. We would love to go back, thank you for having us! ❤️

It is no exaggeration when I say Jessica IS THE BEST HOST you'll find in Edinburgh. She fed me when the cafes were closed, helped me navigate the city and very kindly even helped me get my forgotten belongings back. Go ahead and book this place without a single more thought. The house is absolutely incredible, full of art and easily one of the best b&bs I've stayed at! ✨

Very clean and comfortable, Carol was a very friendly person who was extremely helpful. Breakfasts were excellent with a first class selection to chose from.

From the moment I walked in, she made me feel completely at ease with her warm welcome and prepared me a cup of tea ☕️ When I caught a cold after The Highlands trip, she went above and beyond by preparing Lemsips for me without hesitation—such a thoughtful touch that I’ll never forget! Her home is cozy, and her two adorable cats added an extra layer of comfort and such a joy to be around! What truly stood out, though, were the wonderful conversations we shared. Tracey is such an interesting and caring person, and our chats made my stay even more special.
