The Tower, Thornton Castle

Traditional & relaxed accommodation in the 16th century Scottish tower of our family home. Accessed by a spiral staircase your space comprises 2 bedrooms for 4 people over two floors in a private wing of the castle with bathroom and small sitting room. Full breakfast included. Set in the foothills of the Cairngorm National Park, this is an ideal stop off between Inverness and Edinburgh. Balmoral Castle, Dunnottar Castle, Glamis Castle and St Andrews are nearby. Tennis court available.

Secluded chalet on a quiet family farm

The chalet is a private, secluded and rustic place with plenty parking beside it for other Airbnb guests. For the colder months there is a woodburning stove with free firewood. It is situated half way between Stonehaven (10mins) and Aberdeen (20mins), there are supermarkets nearby & many tourist attractions. Ideal for couples or families with 1 or 2 children, cot available. Within walking distance of the bothy you will find the Newburgh seal colony, beautiful beaches, nature reserves and a golf course. On two floors of an Art Deco style building, there is a large lounge & dining kitchen, two bedrooms on the 2nd floor - one with an en-suite bathroom and one with access to a roof terrace with great views of Stonehaven. The 3rd bedroom/TV room on the 1st floor has a single bed. Its a short walk to all amenities; shops, bars, cafes, leisure facilities, restaurants, the castle and harbour. Small dogs welcome.
