The property itself is stunning and offers a perfect blend of privacy and comfort. The beautiful surroundings created a serene atmosphere that allowed us to truly relax and unwind. One of the highlights of our stay was the book that Malcolm shared with us, detailing his family's history and the fascinating background of the property. My friends and I had a wonderful time at Alison's place. Catering for two couples, with other guests coming over one evening, we had plenty of places to choose from to relax, find solitude and to gather as a group. the views from the verandah were lovely. it's a place that is suitable for family gatherings.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and felt right at home. Leanne was there to greet us but respected our privacy and gave us support when needed. I’ve already recommended it to others and will probably return before too long.

Fabulous spacious area, clean and well equipped with cooking utensils, pantry and bathroom! We stayed for the campdraft and it was a fabulous close space for a group of multi ages in our family. Thanks for your hospitality!

We really enjoyed our stay here. Lovely views either down to the dam or across the fields and trees. Very relaxing atmosphere, yet so close to Gympie town centre. If we had stayed longer than 2 nights we would have enjoyed a BBQ on the balcony and the fire pit. Definitely recommend.

“Silverton” is a circa 1917 renovated timber weatherboard home located on a working 400 acre cattle property in the township of Somerset Dam, QLD. The house is located on top of a hill, looks over about 100 acres of paddock and is nestled below, and surrounded by, picturesque tree’d mountains. The house with period furniture has all the conveniences of a modern home. I highly recommend staying at this home! Thank you for letting us stay at Silverton!

Spent the Anzac Day long weekend at this beautiful mountain retreat with family...it was absolutely stunning!! From watching the kangaroos grazing in the morning as the fog cleared, to the beautiful sunsets in the evening, the serenity of the location, and all the mod cons and beautiful styling, our stay was enjoyed by all!! We had such a wonderful time and have made some lifelong memories 💚 Thanks for having us Tess!
