Our lovely apartment nestles right at the foot of Edinburgh Castle, down a little atmospheric cobbled lane just beside the Grassmarket, which is in the heart of Edinburgh's historic Old Town. In mediaeval times the lane was part of the stables area for the King of Scotland's horses.
