Cabin in the Clouds

Cabin in the Clouds is a beautiful, one bedroom vacation home in a secluded, private community that's very quiet and has been renovated in 2023. The bathroom was completely remodeled, new living room furniture, new marble top dining room table, refurbished bedroom, new floors. There's a beautiful view from our porch that has deck furniture and propane grill. Inside is an open layout with open beam ceiling and pine paneling. Black Mountain is a quaint vacation town, you will love this place.

The Cottage at Historic Sutherland Manor est. 1807

(Please note the siding is being redone on the farmhouse in front of the cottage so there will be construction noise at times) This farm cottage is located on a historic 40 acre farmstead behind a beautiful farmhouse (which is under renovation) with views of The Peak, Ashe County’s highest mountain. We are bordering Elk Knob State Park and a 10 minute drive to the park entrance. The farm is located in the historic Sutherland valley district and was built in 1807 by Thomas Sutherland.

Located on our small farm in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, we are a perfect launching point for adventure. The main bed is a queen but there is a queen pull out couch to accommodate additional guests. You can comfortably and easily accommodated 4 guests. We’ll provide the linens, pillows, blankets, and towels that you’ll need to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable.
