You will follow the journey of rice from the paddy field to the authentic noodle ‘factory’, before following its paths to the local market where you can see it sold and sample the noodles in the authentic market setting. Likewise, visit a bean sprout producer and learn about this ancient tradition before seeing them for sale on local stalls. You’ll also sample rice cakes with Mung bean curd, local deserts freshly cooked in market stalls. Later in the tour meet one of the few sellers of Chinese sesame soup and learn about the history of this interesting family, before sampling Banh Mi and admiring the French influence. While we wait for it, we will visit our Balinese traditional house and after that you will get delicious Nasi Goreng (fried rice) and drinks at our place. These food stalls are a feature of the Fukuoka streetscape, and about half of the existing yatai in Japan are in Fukuoka City. This is a unique experience that's hard to find anywhere else in Japan. Choose from a variety of specialty foods, including Fukuoka's world famous tonkotsu ramen, made with rich pork marrow soup. *Yatai food stalls may close on strong wind, snow, or heavy rain days.
