The Yates Cottage

Welcome to the beauty and nature of Core Sound! The Yates Cottage is directly on the water and is designed for spectacular views of Core Sound and Cape Lookout Lighthouse with large windows on 3 sides. Other amenities are a large screen porch, fire pit, and a large yard for lawn games. The Yates cottage is great for couples, families, dogs, joggers, walkers, bikers, fishers and boaters. You will be welcomed with freshly-made beds, towels and a full kitchen with Keurig and Rachel Ray cookware.

This jewel is just steps from the Ocean, in the heart of Buxton. A Private one Bedroom suite, attached to our family home. A private entry and porch, overlooks visiting deer & wildlife. Tasteful decor, well stocked kitchen. Relax in a quiet, safe neighborhood, only a 2-3 minute walk across the street to the beach! Enjoy the use of our family pool (approx. May 1- Oct 15) & hot tub. Artsy Original Island Home next to Nature Preserve

Built in the 50's, located in a quiet neighborhood next to Springer's Nature Preserve, we kept the homey cozy granny decor. There is a generous screened porch for entertaining and dining. The large yard is surrounded by woods and provides direct access to the Springer's Point trail. The trail is a lovely path to the waterfront on the sound-side of the island, and home to impressive live oak trees, a historic graveyard, and the site of Blackbeard the Pirate's final battle!
