My husband and I were looking to get away from the noise of our busy town and enjoy a trip to Montreal. This place is situated near enough the city to enjoy entertainment, restaurants, and events there while also being far enough away to enjoy the peace and serenity of a lake house. Gorgeous sunrise views. We very much enjoyed watching nature and taking in the fresh air and light over morning coffee near the picuture window. Would stay again!

Having known the area as I lived in Lachine for 5 years, very easy to get around and I knew where everything was. Parking spot was great for my rental, right off the canal. Close to restaurants. For the price it met our needs. Sometimes heard footprints or someone playing the piano but nothing late or disruptive. Someone has a dog nearby, the barking was a slight annoyance.

Amazing apartment in an amazing location. You can walk to so many great spots, you’re very close to the waterfront, restaraunt, bakeries, shopping, science centre for kids. The apartment was easy to access, very clean and Loic responded very quickly to any of our questions. If we are in Montreal again we will definitely stay there.

Je fus très bien accueillie malgré ma réservation tardive. Le logement était très accueillant, propre et calme. On s'y sent bien. L'hôte est gentil et avenant. *il faut brièvement passer par l'intérieur de la maison pour accéder au logement, malgré une serrure digicode.

I frequent Montreal with friends (so I have a sense of the downtown living) and this was the first time I visited with my family. Many properties and hotels have hidden headaches that can make a trip less pleasant. This home is exceptional with zero issues. The Home is brand new, incredibly classy and very comfortable (we had the best sleep in a long time). It's very spacious and fun to lounge around. The location is also worth highlighting, it truly is a 20 minute drive from anywhere in downtown but it felt safe and quiet away from the busy downtown area. No headaches to figure out parking. Peter as a host is fantastic as well: very responsive and accommodating. Any questions or concerns were immediately handled and this was very appreciated. The only person I would not recommend this home to is somebody who wants to walk out into downtown montreal, otherwise I think this is the best place to experience the city from (whether you are a group of friends or a family).

Oliver and Priscilla’s Airbnb getaway was exactly what we needed—genuine, comfortable, and full of character. From the moment we arrived, we felt like part of their extended family, welcomed not just by our gracious hosts but also their three incredible dogs, who instantly became the highlight of our stay. The space was cozy and thoughtfully put together—not overly fancy, but warm and inviting. Every detail, from the well-stocked kitchen to the comfortable beds, showed a level of care that made us feel right at home. Whether sipping coffee on the porch in the morning or winding down in the peaceful backyard in the evening, there was an undeniable charm in the simplicity of the place. And those dogs? Absolute stars! Whether they were playfully greeting us at the door or curling up nearby as we relaxed, they added such a special touch to our experience. Oliver and Priscilla have created something truly special—a space that feels like a visit to old friends.

Christian had lots of recommendations for me and made the house cozy. I would just read carefully the house rules and inquire if you have questions because he is strict about rules , but they are rules that make sense and contribute positively to the stay. He’s got great bar recommendations and can even tell you the right bar for the vibe you’re looking for. And the location is perfect, minutes from a major train stop and in the midst of shops and restaurants galore. I recommend a stay with Christian, great experience.

We stayed with Shack for a weekend in February. Snow was stacked up, but he made sure we had a clear parking space. The home was lovely, spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable. One thing that was in the listing that we didn't see was a way to charge our electric car, but that plug in may have been hidden by all the snow. Otherwise, our stay was great.

I loved the neighborhood, it was beautiful and very peaceful. It was a basement and very clean. The kitchen and toilet was tidy neat and orderly, the entire apartment was very clean.

I stayed here 3 times, during my visits in Montreal, in 2023 and 2024. Beautiful place, clean, amazing host. Thank you, this is my place to stay in Montreal!
