Located in the heart of Hakuba Valley, this natural stone villa was newly built, nestled among the trees in a holiday homes area. It overlooks the Japanese Northern Alps. The backyard deck view of the birds’ daily visit to the birdbath will make you feel healed and relaxed. Sobae Sanso is located just a few minutes walk from the shuttle stop, where you can catch buses taking you to all the major ski resorts in the area.

At just under 100 square meters of functional space, the unit was designed by Hakuba Powder Lodge co-owner Hiroko Kowal. We have renovated a small wooden hut by woods. It stands on a plateau area over 1,000m elevation. When I was a child, my one of a dream was building my secret place like this by myself. And the dream had come true at last! I hope you remember your childhood memory and feel wooden warmth by handmade in beautiful nature. This is a best area for hiking in forests and visiting beautiful lakes. The hut is good size to stay for a couple and a family or single.
