The deck is great for gazing at the dark skies or having coffee in the morning and taking in the mountain views. The kitchen is fully equipped, with some local treats. It is just a quick walk to downtown Paonia and a short drive to the mountains or the desert for adventures. Hosts live onsite in a separate apartment downstairs with its own door. Your quarters are separate and private.

It is located in a ranching town in western Colorado, with access to Crawford State Park, where you can swim, fish, paddle, and enjoy the views of the Gunnison National Forest. The Black Canyon is nearby, with more spectacular views, hiking trails. The nearby towns of Paonia and Hotchkiss offer a variety of restaurants and music venues, along with the local Bar and Grill, where you can mingle with the locals. Want to bring your horses? Stylish charm with two sleeping options. Queen bed on main level of tiny cottage or a lofted sleeping space up a ships ladder, boasts a new Queen Nectar Mattress. Up the ladder sleeping loft is only for the fit and adventurous. Must be comfortable on your knees due to low headroom situation. Lovely park like setting with outside BBQ Grill. Kitchenette is pretty well outfitted. Tiny Cottage has plenty of charm and comforts. Groovy wooden beads across bathroom door so not a ton of privacy.

The Elderberry Farmhouse is the perfect place for a peaceful getaway in a rural setting. The home is on the 20 acre farm of Zenzen Gardens, surrounded by wide open fields, mountain views, flower gardens, and a lovely pond. Zenzen Gardens offers live music in the summer, camping, dinners, wine tasting & concerts. Our tasting room is open May 1st to Nov 1st from 12- 6 pm daily. We proudly serve the award winning wines from Alfred Eames Cellars under the veranda of the Gold House.
