Whether it be vineyards, cafes and boutique shops you are after or bike trails, exploring the local lakes and landscape it’s all on your doorstep. There is good 4G cell-phone coverage. The cottage is built for a couple to enjoy peace and relaxing comfort in the countryside. Play a little golf - putting green at your door; wander our rambling gardens and rolling countryside. Say hello to the friendly chickens, horses and sheep. A delightful retreat with full kitchen to create your gourmet feasts. Enjoy the comfy bed, cosy winter fireside reading or AC summer cooling, courtyard with views. A picturesque 15 minute drive to the restaurants of Greytown, Martinborough and Carterton.

Longforde Cottage

Welcome to Longforde, a very special, charming and beautifully furnished cottage attached to our main home but completely independent with your own access and landscaped to ensure your absolute privacy. Set on 4 acres of stunning gardens, each room has private rural views of the countryside and Tararua ranges. We are located at the end of one of Greytowns most beautiful streets, a walkable 2km into the shops and cafes. As well, we are on a popular walking and biking route to the Waiohine river.

The plumpy fireside sofa is perfect for sinking into with a glass of wine. The Gatehouse is only six minutes drive from Martinborough and 11 minutes to Greytown. It has two bedrooms with queen beds, a kitchen/dining space and bathroom with high pressure shower.
