Lovely relaxing spot! Right next to lovely walking/running/cycle trail and surrounded by quiet neighbours with a huge backyard. Great value for money!

We loved the tranquility and peace, and it was a great location near the beach. It's well set up and we loved the secure fences for our two Jack Russells. All in all, a very good choice for a leisurely weekend away from Wellington. It ticked the boxes.

A lovely town with a coastal and nature-filled vibe — very family-friendly. The host was wonderful and extremely helpful. The house is well-organized and comfortable for a family stay, including two bicycles available for guests to use. There are cute cafés around with a laid-back, holiday atmosphere.

Andreas place was amazing. My Mum and her friends had a lovely time. It was peaceful and quiet, stunning location, classic kiwi bach. Lovely little details, and extras. Andrea was responsive and helpful. Thanks, we will definitely be back.

We enjoyed our stay, surrounded by a beautiful garden and at walking distance from the beach, restaurants and bakery. Neighboring a reserve at the back was a bonus, so we had more space to play ball games. It was a great place to rest and relax, indoor or outdoor. Board games available to play when it rained. One thing to note is that the bedroom upstairs, although private, it doesn't have a door to block any noise from downstairs. It is a cute cottage with lots of space for everybody.

This house was excellent for our extended family gathering – the kids loved the table tennis room, the oldies loved the view, and we all loved the direct access to the beach. Thank you, Jill, – your communications were great, the house was spotless, the beds were super and the setting made this a gathering we will all remember, even though it was for Great Grandma’s funeral.

We had a great stay. The place was spacious and comfortable and had everything we needed. There was a fully fenced backyard which was perfect for my dog, the sofas were super comfortable for relaxing, the beach was just short 10 minute walk away. Brenda was super flexible and accommodating, when we had an extra person turn up on our second night Brenda allowed them to stay at no extra charge. Would definitely stay again.

Such a great place to stay, perfect for our group. Lots of space, both as a large group but also breakout areas. Outdoors is stunning, great to wander around in the sun and fresh air, very quiet and peaceful - our dogs love it!! Well equipped throughout, kitchen had all the staples and plenty of serving ware for group meals, bedrooms were all fabulously set out, plenty of extra bedding and towels if needed. Lots of games to have fun with, plus the pool and tennis court. We had a blast, thank you for having us!!

Thank you, what a lovely and special family home, it made for a magical and relaxing xmas break. Beautiful deco home with bohemian vibes. A spacious garden area to play led to an ethereal private pathway to the beach which was dotted with wild flowers. Original deco elements retained in the bathrooms. Spacious rooms, comfortable beds with views. Would not hesitate to recommend. Many thanks.

Right from the start we had good communications and a friendly welcome. Beautiful position and views and quiet and tranquil. Was a restful and peaceful 4 days. We were welcomed by Donna as we drove up to the house and she walked us to our rooms and explained everything to us showing us around the flat. There was fresh milk in the fridge along with chocolates and fruit from the garden. Dean was friendly and helpful, and we had several long conversations over the weekend about the property and the Kapiti Coast in general. The purpose of our stay was to relax but also visit the area with a view to moving to the Kapiti area, all our expectations were fulfilled, friendly people, lovely beaches and scenery and great weather. We had a lovely stay and our Hosts made us feel very welcome. Great location to the shops and restaurants. Lovely private outdoor setting which we enjoyed. Would stay again.

David was very friendly and addressed all the things that I had asked about, his wife, Christine was also very helpful, especially with supply of fresh eggs and vegetables, and Molly the dog has to get a mention, she also was very friendly. I can't say too much about the location because I'm an xpat kiwi visiting friends and family, however if you like shops with lots of nik nakky things then Greytown is the ideal place to explore.

We always stay here when we come to Martinborough and Greytown. It's the perfect location and we feel very comfortable. The bedding is pristine and the decor is pleasing to the eye. Very stylish, immaculately clean amd comfortable....ticks All boxes! We stay here atleast 3 times every year! Love ❤️ this accommodation amd highly recommend 👌

I absolutely loved my stay at Fig Tree Cottage! The place is cozy, beautifully maintained, and full of charm. It felt like a home away from home — peaceful, comfortable, and thoughtfully set up with everything I needed. The surroundings are gorgeous too, perfect for a relaxing getaway. Great little place. Great location for weddings at Tarureka Estate. Clean and tidy and well presented. The breakfast supplies were great too. Highly recommended.

I booked my mum and dad (both in their early 80s, travelling up from Oamaru) into Jason's cosy studio. It was a very stormy few days in the lower North Island, and they were visiting a sick relative, but they felt safe and cosy in the studio. They loved the vibrant artwork, the beautiful walk-in shower, and the proximity to Otaki township. Their only feedback is that, while very comfortable, the bed is quite low to the ground so those with limited mobility might find it a bit tricky. For my part (based in Auckland), Jason was always easy to reach and prompt in answering questions.

Very comfortable and warm place. Loved how close we were to everything. Definitely booking again.

The most beautiful place to stay before a wedding, Tina was extremely accommodating and I felt like I was right at home. The attention and detail she has put into the property was top notch and the alpacas were so cute and friendly! Thank you so much for a truly unforgettable stay.
