SOUND VIEWS

Enjoy the beautiful views of Puget Sound, Blake Island, Mt. Rainier and downtown Seattle from one of two decks off of the main floor. In cooler weather, the front sun deck is the perfect spot for happy hour or just relaxing. Take a short walk down the hill to visit the hamlet of Manchester. There's a public beach, outdoor pub, and other amenities available. The Southworth ferry will take you to West Seattle. Scheduled for Spring 2021, a "fast foot" ferry with service to downtown Seattle.

Grab the 30-minute fast ferry to central Seattle for sports, concerts, and Pike Place Market. Or enjoy the rich and unique variety that downtown Bremerton has to offer. Watch the ferries go by and relax, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Enjoy breathtaking sunsets over the Olympic mountains, kayaking, BBQing, a forest hiking trail with sea and mount Rainier views, beach walks, and downtown Vashon (less than 10 mins away!). Please note: The parking lot is a few minutes walk from the cottage.

We are downtown Port Orchard, so restaurants and a myriad of cute shops are just steps away, as is the lovely waterfront. You'll have the house to yourself to relax in the serenity you deserve.

Once tucked back into the woods, this newly improved 1920s cabin now enjoys a front-row seat to the grandeur of the Hood Canal thanks to a tidal creek that has washed away the sandy soil that once supported the departed trees.
