The perfect location for those exploring the Chilterns, designated an ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’ walking, cycling or for those working locally, away from their home. The name is inspired by the 50+ species of bird found locally, including the Red Kites.

After a walk in the Chilterns and a fireside drink at a country pub, relax on the large comfortable sofa and watch the wildlife in the meadow from the warmth of this cosy retreat. If you’re feeling energetic, play tennis or pickleball on our court or cycle the Phoenix Trail - (Bikes/E-bikes by arrangement.) A perfect hideaway for a romantic break, recreational weekend, peaceful remote working or just recharging your batteries.

The Hayloft is situated at Downley Farmhouse in Downley, Buckinghamshire - half way between London and Oxford, close to Marlow and Henley-on-Thames. Downley is a small village set around a common with a friendly local pub, The Le De Spencer Arms, which serves good food. The village has all the necessary local amenities and is within easy reach of all major communication networks and local attractions.
