In a word, incredible. This is hands down the most beautiful place I’ve stayed in all of my Airbnb travels. The home is gorgeous and the views of the strait are breathtaking. The host was responsive and kind; we had no issues during our stay and the home was more beautiful than the pictures and descriptions could even capture. It was truly an immersive experience in the beauty of nature. We will be back!

Great stay. We were there for a couple weeks and really appreciated the location, views, and the house in general. I would recommend the place to anyone. The ping pong table was a fun addition.

This was our first time in Sooke and we shared Fredrick’s place with a friend we hadn’t seen in years. The warm home like environment, the separate bedroom ,bathroom spaces worked perfectly. The views were wonderful and we dined and explored the area easily. We wished we could have stayed longer.

Beautiful spot with plenty to do! Great location and plenty of ament and activities to keep everyone happy and relaxed. Would definitely recommend this property to any couples traveling to the area!

Amazing stay! I wanted a romantic weekend getaway trip to propose to my partner, and the glamping setup was absolutely perfect. It's such an incredible spot—the view is unparalleled, and you feel like you are staying on your own private hillside with virtually nothing around. We were blown away, so peaceful and romantic. I also need to leave a special shout-out to Mary, who left some extra touches for our special event. I also messed up a couple of things, and she was a gracious and generous host—including driving a lost item to us a little out of town. Thank you, Mary! I was a little worried about heading there in the tail season, but a heat pump inside the tent and a heated blanket kept things warm when needed. Luckily, we did not get any rain, but the tent is roomy enough that you could comfortably hang out in there for a while. As others have said, the toilet was probably the cleanest I have ever seen. This is really a luxurious camping experience! We will be back!

My teens and I stayed at Black Otter Cove for a two days. It was such a special place and next time we would plan to stay longer. The outdoor space is serene and the views are stunning. The home itself is beautiful, clean and has so many unique touches. We loved the art inside and appreciated the welcome gift. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

My husband and I had a wonderful 3-night stay at this beautiful home. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and at ease. The space is spotless, thoughtfully decorated, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing getaway. We especially appreciated the cozy touches, peaceful ambiance, and attention to detail throughout the home. The location was perfect—close enough to explore local sights and restaurants, but tucked away enough to enjoy some quiet downtime. The host was responsive and helpful, making the whole experience seamless. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!

This won’t be surprising because it’s been said in every review. This place is amazing. To have an acre and a half of private, oceanfront property is rare. We loved everything. Sitting on the deck with a glass of wine listening to the waves come in was sublime. Corinne is for sure the quickest, friendliest, most generous host I’ve encountered through Airbnb. Bathrooms had great water pressure. When we had a little downtime, the TV was big and fantastic. The hikes around the area are just top notch. What people haven’t mentioned though is Corinne doesn’t have a lengthy ‘clean to do list’ for when you leave. I also think people are walking away from Airbnb’s due to price gouging.
