We loved staying in the Mill Pond Caravan. The grounds are just stunning! Julie's instructions were very clear, so we found it and got in easily. The caravan is cosy and well equipped. fresh clean towels and bed linens and extra blankets if you get chilly. We had a bit of a wet week weather-wise, so it was great to be able to pop the heating on quickly in the morning to take the edge off. Otherwise, the caravan is warm and dry and cosy. Julie is definitely a super host, very friendly and welcoming. The kids absolutely loved the walk up into the orchard and then back down by the waterfall to follow the mill stream back. Thanks to Phillip's instructions I had no difficulty finding the cottage which I reached via footpaths from the railway station. The cottage was delightful and situated along a really quiet lane. The garden area was very beautiful and a great place to sit in the warm sunshine. Easy access to Martin Mere WWT was via a series of well-signposted footpaths, and a lovely canal walk took me into Burscough. I also enjoyed a pleasant walk to Mere Sands Wood near Rufford. An extremely pleasant stay, ideal for recharging the batteries, and I'm particularly grateful for the weather. Is Lancashire always this warm and sunny or was it just the after-effect of Liverpool FC winning the league?

We had an absolutely fantastic time at Pen Y Coed! Beautiful countryside, cosy cabin, lovely hosts, just the perfect place for a countryside get away. Hot tub was great, we paid for an extra night's use of it, which was very worthwhile. There's a great walk along Offa's Dyke trail right next to the cabin, which will take you to a fantastic national park with stunning panoramic views. The UK's largest waterfall is a 35 min drive away with more beautiful countryside and walks around it, which we couldn't recommend enough. Only thing that was a little difficult was the public transport, but we managed to make do with local taxi services. Because of the remote location the taxis did need to be booked in advance, also. But overall, we couldn't recommend this as a place to stay more!

The location was great, loads of excellent walks around in the hills which was exactly what we wanted!

Highly recommend! Such a beautiful cosy space perfect for a solo adventure or romantic couple getaway. The bed was so comfy, the black out blinds were great for if you want a lay in. Get location for mountain walks and the hot tub at the end of the day for achy limbs was perfect!

A comfortable and peaceful place to stay. Absolutely spotless and well looked after. The bed was extremely comfortable. Perfect distance away from everything that you could just relax, or choose to venture out. Llinos was very responsive. We would definitely recommend and stay here again!

This Airbnb was a delightful find! It had all the essentials for a comfortable stay, and the host went above and beyond by providing milk and breakfast options. A truly welcoming experience!

A lovely quiet spot just right for the kids

We stayed for 3 nights and really enjoyed it. Sean greeted us on arrival and showed us around and gave us lots of great local information about walks and day trips etc. the location is peaceful and private and also not too far from shops etc. Sean checked in on us via the app to see if everything was okay and if we needed anything. We had visits from the little cat who was lovely 😻. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a quiet getaway!

had a fantastic stay at the shepherds hut! The hut was very clean and cosy with everything provided. the surrounding views of the hills and mountains were outstanding! Beth as a host was amazing, she made sure we had everything we need and went extra doing things like lighting the hot tub so it was ready for our arrival. my gf and I are already talking about coming back, I couldn't recommend this place enough!

A magical, secluded getaway! I absolutely loved my stay at this unique round house. It’s incredibly private and peaceful—perfect if you’re looking to unplug and reconnect with nature. The interior is beautifully designed, very clean, and super cosy, especially with the fireplace going. At night, the sky is pitch black with no lights for miles, so the stars are absolutely breathtaking. There are miles of walking trails right from the doorstep, offering stunning views in every direction. The bathroom was spotless with great hot water, and everything felt thoughtfully maintained. Megan was so friendly and helpful. She even put together a folder with clear instructions and great local recommendations, which made settling in really easy. Highly recommend this place for a relaxing and scenic retreat!

Beautiful place, super relaxing, great walks, lovely alpacas and a great community run pub a ten minute walk away. Jane has thought of everything and as ever, it's a real tonic to stay at the huts.

Lovely stay at Scouts Meadow! 10 minute walk to Enginuity and other museums, another 10 minutes to reach Ironbridge and surrounding shops so very accessible. Everything we needed was included in the wagon. Could add a shelf in the bed area to put water bottles, phones etc so you don’t need to go up and down the ladder into bed but other than that the place was perfect!

We had a lovely stay in the Snug! Very cosy and had everything we needed for our weekend away. We also enjoyed our time relaxing in the hot tub after our hike up Snowdon. Our host sent us lots of helpful info on finding the property and the area around where we were staying including walks, places to eat etc. Thank you

From booking the chalet, Gill and Nick were so very helpful, and very proactive. Travelling with a large hound, it is normally a real challenge to find somewhere that ticks all our boxes, but Gill and Nick were so hospitable, and welcoming, and their accommodation so perfect for our needs, they not only ticked the boxes, they well surpassed them. They even looked after our bouncy English pointer for the day (and night) when we went on a trip into Manchester, walking her regularly, and treating her as their own. She didn’t want to leave!. Many, many thanks to the best hosts one could ever wish for! Recommend very highly, especially of travelling with your beloved pet! 😁😁😁🐶🐾🥰🥰

Louise is a great host and greeted us upon arrival. The place was lovely and had a great view to watch the sunset. The location was peaceful to relax and also located centrally for us to visit the places we had booked. On the farm there was loads of friendly cows which was a bonus. Highly recommended anyone to stay here.

Lovely location. Private space within the garden. It was cosy, perfect for a single person or couple. James and his wife were very helpful. I was able to walk to the local pub which was only a few minutes walk away and certainly lived up to James’s recommendation. A lovely place to break my journey and somewhere I would stay again if in the area.

We had a perfect weekend away in Helen’s hut. The surroundings are beautiful however we couldn’t wait to get back to the hut in the evening to relax! Would highly recommend!

Aly’s hut is just a dream. Absolutely beautiful surroundings, I went for a little peaceful weekend alone and it was just perfect. I sat on the bench watching the mist move through the valley below, walked to the stream in the forest and read my books. The hut is so cosy and welcoming and I felt completely comfortable and safe. I will definitely be back as soon as I am able to. Thank you for a wonderful, peaceful stay.

Loki Hut was the perfect little break we needed. The photos listed do not do it justice. It’s a lot more spacious than it looks on the photos. Lucy was so friendly and nice. We turned up a little earlier than check in time and she allowed us to get straight in. The outdoor bath was a unique and perfect touch. Honestly don’t have anything to complain about. Super cute animals that are roaming free. Will most definitely return in the future. Thank you!

Had the most wonderful and relaxing stay. The tyni hut was so cosy and surprisingly very easy to heat up. The traditional hot tub and sauna were such a plus! Carolyn was so lovely - very communicative and welcoming . Would most definitely recommend ❤️
