Información sobre este anuncio
Situated in a centrally located historic district, our home is minutes from downtown, museums, UMKC, Westport and the Plaza. John's interest in metal sculpture combines with Becky's fascination with reclaimed materials to create a family home that also functions as an immersive artistic experience. Turn of the century architecture provides the backdrop with dramatic ceilings and beautiful woodwork. Explore the gardens, relax on the porch, or sit on the deck and enjoy the pond.
This room has a twin bed, and is located on the third floor of our home, accessible by two flights of stairs. It opens onto a public entertainment room shared by family and guests alike. (There is a second guest room with a full bed on this floor that can be booked separately through our other listing if you have a larger group.) There is a bathroom on the third floor as well that is shared by both guest rooms.

We'll be present in the house while you are here and look forward to helping you enjoy Kansas City. However, we are also aware that sometimes you just want to be by yourself and figure it out on your own!
Located in a Historic District, our home is surrounded by fabulous architecture, and more importantly, grounded in a community of families working to create a sense of home that extends beyond our own front doors. We invite you to be a part of that community. Come sit on our front porch and watch the neighbors walk by; you can visit when they stop to pet the cats, they almost always do.
There is typically plenty of on-street parking for those of you driving. Uber is also available. We are located in between Kansas City's 2 MAX express bus lines for easy access to downtown and it's cutting edge streetcar service, as well as UMKC, the Plaza, and Westport. The Troost MAX is closest at two blocks away, but the Main Street MAX is less than a mile away if you don't mind a little walk. The Main street MAX is also a great point to access one of the many bike share kiosks in the city.

This is a playful house in an active community where the neighborhood children play outside until the streetlights come on. Don't be surprised if you get challenged to a Nerf gun battle, or wake to the sounds of children splashing in the pond or Saturday morning cartoons.
