Walking distance to West Side Market, multiple restaurants & brew houses.
You'll notice immediately that there is no other space like this in all of Ohio City; a loft-style warehouse suite nestled in a historical residential community with excellent access to all the sites, sounds, breweries, restaurants, activities, and sports attractions you could imagine in the downtown, or Ohio City/Tremont areas.
The moment you step into your suite you'll sense a peaceful, welcoming ambiance. Glass double doors usher you into a 1000 sf. grand room with a 20' high wood ceiling, exposed brick walls, exposed duct-work suspended in midair, & large warehouse windows. Although the historical building was built in 1929, the building has all new construction on the interior. It is open, spacious, clean, comfortable, and is perfect for that business trip, special get-away for the weekend, or that longer stay in CLE.
To make your arrival special, we provide complimentary fruit, bagels/croissants/muffins, fresh OJ, bottled water, and a variety of coffees, ready for brewing in our Keurig coffee maker!
For safety, we have inter-connected smoke detectors, CO detector, fire extinguisher in the kitchen, first aid kit, and an emergency exit placard with phone numbers for emergency situations.
You'll find a hair dryer in the bathroom, and we provide an iron with ironing board for your use.
IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT THE WOOD FLOOR! The wood floor in the large space is very rough in spots. It has been left in this condition because it is part of its character and ambiance. It definitely is not a floor to walk on in your bare feet; you can get splinters! Be sure to wear slippers or shoes on this floor.

You will have access to a private, fenced-in back yard, featuring a small pond, fire pit, and decorative patio lighting (shared with owners).
You will have access to a shared common area on the first floor of the warehouse that has a ping pong table (Spring - Fall) and plenty of room for small APPROVED family gatherings (Spring-Fall).
There are ample spaces for street parking.
There is a secure place to park your bikes.
Your suite has its own private entrance.
The basement and upper floor (Green Monster) are off limits.

We live on-site in the same building, and enjoy welcoming our guests to The Loft with a brief tour and valuable information about Ohio City and the various venues to visit.
Although always accessible, we respect our guest's privacy, and allow them to enjoy their stay as they choose.
Ohio City is a great place to live and visit! Other than times away for continued education, I have lived here since 1978. What a transformation witnessed over these 39 years.
It has gone from a run down, crime infested environment, to an exciting mixture of cultures, dining and shopping venues, and experiences.
W. 25th St. and Lorain Ave. were once full of closed, boarded up buildings, where the average person would not venture to walk after dark. Today they are in constant motion with activity; restaurants, West Side Market, free concerts at Market Square, coffee shops, breweries, unique boutiques, athletics at St. Ignatius High School, retail shops!
Scattered throughout our community are bike paths, urban gardens, unique shops, glass blowing shop, micro brewery shop, (where you can learn how to brew your own beer)!
Come and experience a neighborhood of renovated landmark homes, eclectic coffee shops, museums, libraries, historical churches, Lake Erie, Edgewater Park, golfing at the Metro Park golf courses, the beautiful Cuyahoga River, Downtown Cleveland, Jack Casino, the Indians and Browns stadiums, the Cavaliers/Monsters/Gladiators Arena, Tower City Mall, and so much more.
For you who love to walk, or run, downtown is very close! It's less than 2mi to Public Square.
Access to downtown by car is extremely easy and fast, with plenty of parking for all the various venues in Cleveland.
Taxis/Ubers are available and dependable, and bus routes run regularly to downtown Public Square and beyond.
The Rapid Transit rail system has a stop conveniently located a short walk away (W. 25th St. and Lorain Ave, by the West Side Market) with stops at Cleveland Hopkins Airport (CLE), downtown Tower City, and the east side of Cleveland.
Cleveland has become a very bike friendly city with marked bike lanes for safe riding. So be sure to bring your bikes! it is a great way to tour the city. Most everything is accessible by bike, and if it's too far away, bikes are permitted on public transportation. Public bicycle rentals are now available at bike stations nearby.

The Loft is on the second floor.
This suite can comfortably accommodate one or two people because the layout is an open warehouse type with no specific bedroom. If you understand these limitations and desire to have extra overnight guests stay with you, we can provide up to two memory foam twin beds with all sheets, blankets, and pillows. There will be an extra $25 charge each night for extra guests. No more than TWO additional guests will be permitted! The guest making the reservation for The Loft is responsible for including the TOTAL number of people staying when they make their reservation. We cannot accept extra people once the reservation is approved and made.
A business area is provided with internet/Wi-Fi access and a printer.
We have a folder listing many of the venues located around Cleveland for guests to visit.
The office and shop of the owner is also located at the warehouse, so there will be various projects that are on-going in and around the building. The hours of operation are from 8am - 6pm, but I will always keep my guests' comfort in mind when there are times when my projects include the use of loud equipment.

We encourage our guests to enjoy their stay in our home, but please respect the carpet, personal items and furnishings throughout the suite.
1. Parties will not be permitted without PRIOR APPROVAL BY HOST!
a. Approved parties will be charged an extra cleaning fee.
b. If a party is approved, an additional fee may be assessed depending on the number of people expected.
c. If a party is approved, furniture WILL NOT BE MOVED WITHOUT PRIOR APPROVAL.
d. If furniture is moved for party, it must be replaced back to original location.
2. The suite will NOT be used for other financial ventures, or commercial enterprises, without EXPLICIT APPROVAL FROM the HOSTS!
a. If approved for filming, photo shoot, or wedding, an additional fee may be assessed.
c. If the venture is approved, furniture WILL NOT BE MOVED WITHOUT PRIOR APPROVAL of HOSTS!
d. If furniture is moved, it must be replaced back to original location.
3. Please make sure the proper number of guests are listed in your reservation. A $50 penalty/person for each night an extra guest occupies the suite will be charged.
4. Also, since this is an urban environment, if you use the outdoor fire pit, respect our neighbors by keeping the noise level down after 10pm.
5. Extra people who are not on the guest list, or approved in advance, WILL NOT be permitted.

a. We do not allow pets without special provisions, advanced notice, and full acceptance by the guest of your responsibilities and cost associated with your pets. If you bring your pet, there is an added charge of $50 to cover the extra cleaning.
b. This suite is a NON-smoking suite. Smokers may smoke in the back yard (which is a very nice place), but if there is any odor of smoking in the building, a $100.00 charge will be added to your fee.

My wife, Julie, and I enjoy a good movie, having coffee together at some of the local restaurants, bike riding, or going on pleasant road runs through the neighborhood. I also enjoy pole vaulting, high jumping and competing in USATF and Senior Games (track and field).
I've lived in this community since 1978 when I bought an old run down rooming house to live in. That house became my very first project and I've been actively participating in this city's revitalization ever since.
I love to design...especially the renovation and re-purposing of urban buildings; which brings me to our building. Our home is a 12000sf warehouse located in the historic Ohio City district of Cleveland, OH. It is quite unique in the fact that it's, first of all, a large warehouse-type structure (West Side Carpet Cleaning Co.) sitting in a residential neighborhood. Secondly, there is no other space like it in Ohio City... and it's probably the only place in Ohio City with its own private indoor driving range (on the third floor Green Monster!)!
It's unique features have made it popular for various media venues; weddings and wedding photography, interview settings, and major network filming. But most of all, it's our HOME, and we have the privilege of sharing part of it with our guests as Airbnb hosts!
