“This small and historic distillery is located in the charming coast town of Oban. Oban Distillery takes it name from the town where the Highlands meet the Islands and nestles below the steep cliff that overlooks Oban. This coastal location is accurately reflected by the character of the Oban 14 year old single malt whisky. Visit Oban Distillery, meet knowledgeable guides and learn about the ancient art of distilling, then enjoy a complimentary dram of the Oban 14 year old West Highland Malt. ”

“Spectacular views across Oban bay and the Islands. McCaig’s Tower is a prominent landmark in the resort town of Oban in Argyll on Scotland’s west coast. Built in 1897 by local banker John Stuart McCaig, the aim of the tower was to provide work for local stonemasons and a lasting monument to the McCaig family. The climb from the town centre to McCaig's Tower is well worth the effort when faced with the spectacular views across Oban Bay to the Atlantic Islands. The gardens inside the tower are well maintained and are a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of town life in Oban. ”

“There are guides in most rooms of the castle, who are always happy to answer questions. Information sheets are provided in each room, which detail the architecture, furniture, objects and paintings. Highlights of the castle include Adam’s sweeping Oval Staircase and a fine collection of paintings and furniture. Children love to spot the Lego figure hidden in each room. Explore the grounds of Culzean by following the waymarked trails. From shingle beaches to soaring cliffs, a towering pagoda to a huge Deer Park filled with deer, llamas and Highland cows, there really is something for all the family to fall in love with there.”
