“Building and dining areas are nothing to look at, but if you want great boiled crawfish or fried catfish, this is one of your go-to places. Very casual. Go early or be prepared to wait as this is where all the locals go and it is packed, especially during crawfish season!”

“This place has been around for about 25 or so years! Great food and atmosphere. They display a lot of local artists works on their walls. They serve lunch and dinner as well as brunch on Sundays. I recommend their Eggs Benedict, Shrimp and grits or Chicken & Waffles if you are going to brunch. The Monte Cristo Sandwich is fantastic for lunch and you can't go wrong with any of their entrees for dinner! This restaurant is located in the historic Downtown District as well. Save room for dessert and walk down to Boombox for a frozen treat!!! ”

Restaurante
“This is a great hidden gem! it's a little pricey, but well worth every $. They are in a new are of development off Sallier Street approximately 2 miles from the B&B. They change their menu quite often. If you go for lunch get the burger. The french fries are the best in town. if you go at dinner, well everything is fantastic. I highly recommend getting the Sweet Potato chips as an appetizer. Delicious!!!”

“If you are just looking for groceries and don't want to fight the Walmart Supercenter crowd, this is a good place to go. Turn left on Ryan Street from College St and travel approximately a mile. This Walmart is on the corner of Sallier by the railroad tracks. You will pass Southgate mall along the way, which has a Books-A-Million, a Market Basket Grocery Store and an Office Depot. You will also pass the 24-hour Walgreens. ”
